If they want to require all their customers to wear pink shorts with purple polka dots, they can - as long as every single person allowed in the store follows the same rules. Just like you have to wear shoes and/or a shirt, this mask rule is up to the store and they can deny you service - again, as long as all of those not wearing one are denied. She has no authority to tell her how she must behave but the building management does and can take appropriate measures to address the situation. Fighting with your neighbors isn't the way to go.

I’m sick & tired of parents letting their kids run around IN restaurants. McDonald’s HAS DESIGNED the Play Place especially for them …There’s even tables in there. They can do whatever they want in there….but they shouldn’t be running AROUND THE ENTIRE restaurant. They could run into people and spill food everywhere…it is for the safety of adults & FOR the children…the mom is not thinking if a elderly couple wants to eat there & their children run into them. Now if the kids want to eat in the “restaurant “ they can, but they need to sit and eat. I’m sure kids can do that. Kids can play, run…do whatever they want BUT IN A SAFE PLACE. If she lets her kids run around like that..imagine what they will do at the movie theater.
