Not to mention trimming fiberglass is extremely satisfying

This is exactly the method I use. However I just learned something a little bit differently. I always cut the glass so it’s barely overlapping. I think I like your overlap much better

Great technique looks fantastic. One suggestion, cut the ends and fin slots before the epoxy fully hardens, it’s easier and comes out smooth

Hey man, thanks for the content. Started watching recently and subscribed. Flying mid power on Puerto Rico. Still finishing a LOC Athena and a LOC Goblin 4". Also just ordered a 4" x 79" LOC iris which I hope to do as dual deploy, but that's a longer term project for the moment as I'll need at least an H or I to fly it. Hopefully getting L1 certified in the next few months. Rocketry is basically non existent here, no clubs, no sections. Will keep pushing forward though! Really enjoy your videos man kep'em coming!

Thanks for this, I was wondering how people got a smooth finish w/o vacuum bagging etc

Hey buddy, Joe from Aerospace Rocketry. Stupid question, what type of rubber gloves you use to apply the mylar so you can run your hands to smooth the mylar and remove bubbles. Regular rubber gloves stick. I know dumb. LOL

Great information for a future build. I just got in my Minie Magg for my level 1 cert, I asked you about adhesives earlier this week. Next question…airfoil the fins, or don’t bother? I’m going for low and slow. On an H motor do you think I’ll need additional nose weight?

I've got some coming for one of my bigger rockets, but with 6oz goass available at Home Depot this technique makes it possible for those on just about any budget to partake!

what is the point to fiber glassing it?
