Papyrus's veersion of humerus is laid back and calm while sans's rage can literally be heard in every note
I like the extreme attention to detail of the “Swap” theme, even so far as to have Alphys’ movement swap Undyne’s, in the sense that instead of moving up and down, she moves side to side.

I personally like the idea of there being a kind of play on words.
Undertale Disbelief: Papyrus, as the name suggests, cant bring himself to fight to kill frisk or believe that frisk had done such deeds.
However in US distrust, Sans does not trust Chara and thus goes all out to stop them.
Thats one of my main points. People take distrust as just disbelief but a different word to follow the trend, but do people actually even consider said word besides from the fact that its a variant of disbelief? No. So thats what I tried to do more.

In my opinion because of the "residue" personality from the original characters in AUs like US and SS, there should varying results from the same path, like distrust.
@@teckyuanwang6861 personally, I like both variants. The distrust version can just be a copy and paste of disbelief which I dislike. UT!Papyrus and US!Sans have the same personalities, but are not the same character. However, disbelief’s narrative can still apply to distrust. Just instead of refusing to believe that frisk/chars did all those things, it’s instead refusing that sans cant trust the player anymore. I feel that could be the main game while this version could be “hard mode”
Edit: about the narrative, another version can be sans losing trust in his morals, which can make him feel conflicted when fighting you. Battling his doubt that he is now unsure If his feelings caused the deaths of his friends while fighting you
He takes it as if hes a royalguard.

This is definitely a nice break after the whole DustTrust thing. I like how Phase 4 seems less like Sans forgiving the human, and more like another Phase 1 with him giving it his all to stop you for good. It’s a nice break from the “ohhh no I’m so sorry ur probably still good”
I'm glad you noticed this! I've always disliked the whole back and fourth forgiving and not forgiving cliche in most of the distrusts out there, as it does not fit the personality of sans at all in my personal opinion, so I thought I'd spice it up with sans being more confident and serious, with the goal in mind of taking you down instead of letting the though of his fallen brother and friends get of the way.
Pretty darn good comment there bud I mean I think any animation is fine it's the music that makes it good and I think the music in this video makes it good

I also like to imagine that in Phase 3, instead of Sans revealing that Papyrus and Alphys are fake, Frisk and the player figure it out themselves after the Papyrus cheese attack, ignoring the two and aiming for Sans.
Just noticed this now, but I love the little detail of papyrus' wound being on his neck, not his torso, since in the original game he gets beheaded
As the battle continues he reminds you of the original sans but he seems more confident but he's getting more and more desperate

I like this types of takes on distrust because they show what sans or distrust means it means to loose trust while disbelief means to negate something that is true and thats what mostly every distrust have it is just disbelief papyrus with swapped characters it has nothing of a good underswap or nothing to do with distrust
Papyrus is in disbelief about you and still wants to forgive.
Underswap sans distrusts you and wants to take you down for the greater good.

I absolutely love how it keeps it so papyrus head gets cut off, and sans has a slash, but papyrus's main sprite isn't his head off, instead you can see blood In the neck area.
