I had problems with with Vash's vid also. So I checked yours out. Took me a few tries to get in the ballpark but finally found the 5 resources. Thanks so much for posting this. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more of your tutorials.
Normally when i have arrived at bessel 3b it's still dark in that area. Rather than playing some guessing game the best advice I'd heard is to park your ship on the western edge of that iron blotch, well out of the target area YET we want to keep to the same "time zone" so to speak. So you don't have to be all that careful to where you land just land west of the iron blotch. Upon landing you will get access to the local time do this by bringing up the menu if you like, you don't have to as it will also yell you when you click the bed... Hopefully you have a bed or a chair in your ship.) When you land just take a seat or go to bed until 6:30 to 7:30 am local time. If you are between 6:30 to 7:30 the appropriate landing area will be lit up making finding your spot incredibly easy! I've done it 3x and takes me mere minutes to do! In my first 2 playthroughs I couldn't find the spot either so this makes it soooo much easier! Anyway initial info comes from Vash but the easiest method (for me) was taught me by MajorSlack. I didn't know about the biomes thing (i mean i knew about biomes, i just didn't know you had to land in the mountains... which you do i just didn't notice... and probably why i didn't find it before lol). So yeah, thanks for the clarity on the biomes thing... But it's super easier this way, you can just eye-ball it (and yes i play on xbox too, where it's not as clear as pc).

Took me a couple tries but I found this one and it has become my main base. The tip on quick saving before landing and looking for the black mountain was critical, since there are a couple different 'mountains' zones you may end up at. This zone in your tutorial seems to be the only one with geothermal pools at the base of a mountain too. Thank you for all the clarification around finding it!

How do you get the quadruple XP you mentioned at the beginning of the video. You get the same amount of XP for making frames no matter where you do it.
Thanks so much for going into detail about the landing zone. Unfortunately the area was on the night side. But all I did was turn the brightness way up and got the landing zone in about 10 minutes.
@@wolfieseven2360I tried that. And for some reason it stayed in the night side. I even tried it a few more times a different hour lengths while the ship was landed and it stayed on the night side. No biggie though as I was still able to find the right area.

No, I don't think it's that long at all. I think it's perfect because it's very confusing because on Xbox you don't see the mountains or the land like you do on the map. However he sees it. It still looks like it's water. It doesn't look like it's a desert. It is desert but it just looks blue when you scan it. So he does an amazing job at explaining all of that and I don't know. It's probably one of the best videos I've ever seen as far as explanation goes. He does a great job

I'm wondering how to build a living quarters so I can store weapons and have unlimited storage on my outpost? Thanks man. Going trough your other videos to see if I can upgrade my Rayleaf to be a terror. LOL
You know, that is not the only moon and/or planet that you can do this on; plus, it isn't all that difficult to find. Once you've located where the minerals are, pick the halfway point and land there. On land, use your hand scanner and look on the ground where the minerals are and the rest is relatively easy. It's better to set up outpost on Jamison, on the frozen plains, after you scan the plants there and use botany skill. Takes a little longer to set up, it makes Amps, same xp as other method, but smaller and usable product and worth a lot more. There's a couple videos on You Tube.
All good, but the planet/moon map/terrain is different for everyone. it's not the same for all players. For example, the section you're looking at on Bessel III-b is nothing like what I see on my end. ALL surfaces on the planets and moons are procedurally generated.
Good video ,but way to long. Also people that need that kind of precise instructions should not be playing the game. I liked most and your general style is good, but take it from me it was far to long and people are not going to stay until the end. It would be best for you to break it all up to separate episodes. Just my thoughts.

I appreciated the video and helped a lot. To many content creators just ramble a mile a minute to pump out as much info in the shortest period of time leaving many still frustrated and confused. He helps many with his approach on instructions and many do benefit from it.

Sorry, it's the same map, but mine is on the dark side of the planet and not sun facing. Does that make a difference?
This doesn't work for me as im in the place but for some reason there is an eclipse base nearby that prevents me from placing an aluminum extractor
I farmed all these materials exploring the various planets through questing.
Great thing you did this game is big on recourses
hint: for selling go to the Den. There are seats right next to the vendor and the "I carry way too much shit" walk is very short.

It took me 4 tries, Landing in that general area to get that actual terrain generated .. but it DOES work. And I am on PC, not xbox.
