  • This video shows how I use my Wonder Wash off grid washing machine to clean my hats, I believe this works better and is gentler than those plastic hat cages for a regular washing machine. @AZRockhoundExpeditions

    That’s a great idea! We have never seen that before now. The water for us isn’t an issue because we always carry more than we need, water is life!🤣 Thank you for putting that together, it was very helpful! We are going to check out their website!!

      Hey there City Rockhounding, do you have one of these or a similar one? And the only issue for AZ would be water, I had never measured the amount, just filled till half full and did my wash and rinse, but at 2 plus gallons per fill that adds up quick.

    • @CityRockhounding
      @CityRockhounding 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MrChubbyHubby. a very similar one, looks the same. Yeah, it's about three gallons of water per fill for us, depending on the type of clothes. Mine doesn't have a drain valve on the bottom, I have to turn it and pour it out.

    My Mom had one when she was a full time RV'r. They used it all the time. It may have been a different name or model. But I know they used it and of coarse they had strung a cloths line between trees ! Thanks for sharing

    That's a nifty washer. I would love to have one. Be very handy for a single person. It sometimes takes a bunch of clothes to put in our washer here. I could do a couple of my favorite clothes between times. That would be great for a long camping trip too.

    I think most of the hats I've owned could probably stand on there own by the time I got rid of them. I NEVER thow away my hats. Mostly because they all have headlamps built into them. LOL. Its a lot easier slapping a hat onto my head then it is a headlamp with a stretched out elastic strap.
    Thats a nice little contraption you got there MrChubbyHubby. I would probably use if for something other then its intended use but very neat!

      Hey there ShroomDay0117, it is a neat contraption for sure, but now I have a conundrum my compadre, I need to know what off label use you would use this for? if you feel like sharing that is.

    An enterprising young man would hook that up with a belt to a stationary bike. That way he could warsh his clothes and get in a quick work out at the same time. Until next time.

    I got a buddy who has one of those never seen it used though , I was gonna ask about hooking it to a drill but you dont want to go to fast ... I wonder how hard it would be to build a big one out of a plastic barrel and hook it to a bicycle? you could do lots of laundry that way. I may have too look into getting one of these for when im out on the road

    • @MrChubbyHubby.
      @MrChubbyHubby.  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there HuntingRocks, all I have done in this is hats, with that small load and a couple of gallons of water, unless you did some gearing, I think you would burn out a drill unless it is a torquey sob, I don't think speed would be the issue there. Your bike idea is a good one though, use a 10 or 20 speed for easier starting and off you go to Cleanville, and I would think a 5-gallon bucket with a Gemma lid would work, unless you want really big.
