I’m a little sad that Astral Plane doesn’t get more love in this review. It’s a GREAT concept. In a game with lots of Astral Plane characters, it’s like a second mini-city to manage - a constant countdown timer of cards being pushed to escape. Alternately, if you pull a character like The Ancient One into an otherwise “normal” game, suddenly you can pluck troublesome villains out of the city and strand them in the Astral Plane for as long as you need to. It can be a total game changer!
Also, fun fact: this set has fewer attack symbols than any other Legendary expansion released so far!

It's a little strange that we've gotten this far, have this many sets out, and we still don't have Green Goblin as a Mastermind. Sure, we have Zombie Green Goblin and the Noir one, but not just simply Green Goblin.
I'm impressed that after all this time, they're finding new ground to explore in their really quite simple ruleset, though.

I love Marvel Legendary and own almost every expansion, the ones I have I will get eventually. It is great to hear that this set will mix well with the other sets, I know that a lot of these expansions are great on there own but don’t always mix that well with the others. That being said, I’m 100% in agreement with you that Dr. strange himself should have cards that make him more of a leader or heavy hitter. Looking forward to getting this set to the table.

I have pretty much everything for legendary, but for right now I’m gonna pass on this one. I’m sure that this will make a good Christmas gift when the day comes.

dark phoenix still the hardest mastermind to fight if not using her dark phoenix saga scheme. only guardians of the galaxy with the crazy amount of shards can beat her.
beyonder second hardest. GotG could not beat him as their cards aren't too costly. beyonder unlike phoenix is managable.
so marvel nerds, let me ask, are they really the most powerful villains in marvel universe?

I have everything for Marvel Legendary up to this point...except for their latest release, Guardians of the Galaxy. Do you have any idea just how much these small box expansions shot up in price?! 19.99 is the cheapest you'll find it! These are only supposed to be around 14 bucks or so. Downright criminal.

The small boxes are suppose to be $24.99

I love your videos. I keep coming back to this series to look up Marvel Legendary stuff. My family loves this game, even though none of us are familiar with the source material.😅

I am far too much of a hipster to read modern comics. Anyone who has read the OG supernatural adventure comic, Faust (Goethe, First Issue 1808) would know better than to make any demonic bargains at all. Modern heroes are not very smart.
Just kidding. I'm not actually a hipster, just unironically old-fashioned. (And yes, I know fellow pedants, there were much older versions of Faust and much more ancient stories I could have used. This one just made the joke nicely.) Seriously though, modern heroes do tend to be more willing to mess around with things that the stories themselves define as "too dangerous to be messed with." Like the plotline in the movies where Doctor Strange (whose whole job is to keep people from messing up reality like this) decides to futz around in reality manipulation because Spider Man is having the exact hero-angst that every single super hero also has to deal with. Then "What!? There were consequences to my actions?! Who could have seen that coming?!" 🤦‍♂️
I don't even play Marvel Legendary. I knowingly watch Dice Tower reviews of games and expansions I know I'm not going to play, just because your content is that good. Keep it up!
