Great video, are able to bend the agitator a little to get the rest of the product out, also how far does it spread from left to right? Time is money Thanks
The agitator is just a wire but the hopper is a tapered down design to channel all the material down. The spread width is up to 12 feet wide. Thanks for watching.
I own this same one WITH the side deflector. I want to love it but there are a few issues that annoy me beyond belief. The side deflector is nice but it's kept up with a spring in the back (that you attach to the frame). The BIG issue is that the weight is mainly in front of the deflector. ANY bump (roots, coming off the lawn to the street etc) and the deflector flops down. It doesn't stay up. I feel like it's a design flaw and may need to have a spring in the front or something. The issue is that if you mid pass the deflector flips down and you have to stop flip it up and keep going.. Do this like 50 times and it gets old!.I'm gonna have to rig something to keep the deflector up and release when I want it down. The other issue I have with this spreader is the agitator is like 1.5 -2 inches above the opening. So a lot of times the agitator is spinning but not moving product around that may have gotten compacted beneath it.. Which makes me have to hope the spreader around, which causes the deflector to drop. Again, it's a solid spreader but that deflector would make me think twice until it got sorted out. Maybe the company has some suggestions to remedy it.
When comparing this unit to a simple Scott’s spreader it seems very heavy to push especially on a slated hill do you agree? I also think the normally open vs normally closed operation seems backwards in nature. It’s built like a tank I agree but seems very difficult to use. Thoughts?… thx
Not really heavy to push. Even on hills which I have a lot of client lawns with. Just heavy and a bit awkward to lift into the back of the truck. Otherwise it works great and I’ve had no issues with it. Thanks for watching.
Let me know in the comments below what you think of the Spyker Spreaders ERGO Pro line of commercial grade spreaders.
Great video! We're so glad to hear that you're happy with your Spyker Spreader!
Keep making great spreaders. Thanks for watching.
For us females out here, we don’t want it to be to heavy. Make a lighter weight pretty one for us. 😊
That thing is a beast of a spreader.
Yes it’s a beast for sure. Thanks for watching.

Does this spreader have a side deflector? Looks like a nice upgrade from my Earthway.
It does not come with one but I think there is an optional one available for it. Thanks for watching.
Yes I just ordered mine from Amazon

Buy some plank treated wood and use it to roll it up into your vehicle. Have it cut for the length/width you need.
