  • As I am collecting parts for my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser restoration I have ordered several different sets of power seat knobs and buttons to see what fits. Here is the first update on this. I hope it's helpful for you.

Did you ever make the video about the broken off post for the seat recline that you mentioned here? That's what I was hoping to see in this video. Anyway, subscribed to see if you will post a video on that topic. Thanks.

Any update on fixing that broken knob and which vehicles does that tilt knob come out of?

That makes 3 of us. I read somewhere that somebody was going to drill and tap the point where the pin broke off and put either a bolt or all thread in there but they never followed up with the results. Useful info here, thanks for the video.

That is always an option too.

I can verify for you right now that there is no grey equivalent for that switch if you search under 1996-2002 4Runners. Power seats only came in Oak for them. What you want to see is if the 4Runner switch part number was also used in another Toyota vehicle, from there you determine if it came with grey power seats. If it exists, there you go.

That's great to know! Thanks for the info. I'll start trying to cross reference the part number with other Toyota's to see what other vehicles used the same style knobs.

Hey sir, my front passenger chair os not moving forward/backward. Do you think that’s actually the motor? Im trying to piece it together because it has stopped working. My wife is having a hard time with the chair being stuck. Any help is appreciated.

99% of the time the motor is fine. Usually what happens is the gear strips or the end cap falls out. Take a look at my other video that shows the step by step on how to fix it. I put direct links to where you can buy the gears in the video description as well. Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/K6_xMXmGhaQ/w-d-xo.html

Depends on the parts I am needing. Most of the OEM stuff I like to order from McGeorge Toyota online parts store. I also check ebay and amazon sometimes. Partsouq is also a great source
