I wish we still did that in Florida but nobody does it anymore but me we call it verticut and you do it to St Augustine grass I'll do mine 👍👍

Would the Husqvarna dethatcher work on a golf green? Is it fairly precise or is there the potential to tear at the bentgrass?

You need to verticut on a green. The dethatcher would tear it up. Actually, the slit seeder is like a verticutter that drops seed. Just leave the hopper empty. The blades are just a tad thicker than a verticutter on a Jacobsen/ Toro/ etc

Hes has two dethatchers there, whats he smoking, edit the reno o thin is considered a dethatcher but he has slicer cassette on there, not sure if it comes like that or he had it ordered that way, anyhow, if your going to "slice," go hydro, youll be Happy
