Dominique Jackson if wwe really wanted new stars they'd make them. it's not like you forget how to be a creative evil genius. the fans are the only ones who want new stars despite two of the biggest draws in history being on top for about 20 years a piece in Hogan and Bruno. wwe don't see the need new stars. their house shows do really well the merchandise does well and the network is doing ok (nowhere near as well as you'd think considering how many people used to watch wrestling and the amount of content on their is almost limitless)
Tbf he's got a lot to complain about. He was promised to get the torch passed to him by Hogan before it was changed, he had to share a rr win with Luger and if the locker room didn't basically threaten revolt Luger would've won the title and not him. Obviously Montreal then nothing in WCW for 2 years (other than his brother dying in a avoidable way) then he was retired due to concussions. All of that within 7 years
What impressed me the most about Bret Hart's KOTR win wasn't that he had those 3 incredible matches with 3 different opponents of different skillsets, it was the fact that he won those matches without using the Sharpshooter once to win them. That takes an impressive amount of skill.
Just another reason why he was so good. While my mates were all fans of Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior in the late 1980's, I was a huge fan of Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation. Along with Jake Roberts and Curt Hennig.

If William Regal hadn't gotten overzealous when his main event push started in 2008 and he became King of the Ring, he probably would've become the first British World Champion in WWE, and the two King of the Ring winners after him, Sheamus and Wade Barrett, might've been booked right after winning their respective tournaments. Just my opinion. Regal himself somewhat talks about it on 'Table For 3' with Barrett and Sheamus.
