I saw a stat that said, "This is the first time in US Soccer history wherein all the 11 players in their starting eleven are playing in top 5 leagues in Europe"
Our CBs are not good enough on the ball for us to keep possession. Our mid, save for McKennie, are not efficient on the ball of us to rotate it. Our defensive transitions are marred by lack of positional awareness. We need to be the America of old, low-block and counter with hope because teams like Colombia have sorted out their defensive and offensive transitions by playing together in high intensity matches. Americans don't understand the intensity of the Copa America, which is better than the Euros given the fervor and manic pressing of South American teams. We play well with the ball against Central American teams but we cannot handle the pressure & cunning of South American teams. I am certain we can't even beat Venezuela & not even Bolivia. Wait until we get pressed by Uruguay with all their experience and athleticism. South American soccer is crazy given the technical ability of all the players, the professional cheating, the intense press and the noise of the fans.
Finally someone understands it. The difference is the soccer culture of the big countries in South America (Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, although now Colombia is getting closer). There are tactical things that USA players have to decide (in addition to the technical difference that is important but not the most) on the field to understand how to play against a European or Conmebol team. Conmebol teams, thanks to their soccer culture, have things they do from memory when the opportunity arises on the field. Certain ways of playing long or short, in addition to now adding pressure (before Colombia did not play like that, that is new) defensively where the forwards are committed to being the first defenders. For now the Americans don't seem to have that. And a basic difference is that due to the lack of that, the American players do not make decisions on the court: they continued the entire game trying to come out with a short dominated ball despite the constant pressure that Colombia made that made them lose the ball and because of the which they scored three goals. No team in Conmebol would ever do that. Long passes or rejecting the ball if necessary and then going to fight for the rebound because the most important thing is to compete and if there is no other way that is what has to be done. They do not make a reading of the game that was not there to execute the plan they were trying to carry out.
I do agree that our center backs either belong in a retirement home or don’t know how to pass the ball and keep possession, but Greg Berhalter is wasting the gold generation, especially our attack. We have so many versatile attackers, but all he does is make us cross the ball and hope for the bestand never works out and he never changes it
"Following Saturday's 5-1 result, the USMNT is 3-14-5 all-time against Colombia, with the team’s last win coming in a 3-0 victory on March 9, 2005 in Fullerton, Calif. That's 19 years! The team’s eight- match winless streak against Los Cafeteros is currently the second longest of any opponent after Brazil (11 matches)." The US cannot underestimate teams like Colombia that have been pumping out great football players for over 40 years. Colombia is ranked third in exporting players around the world in the Americas (over 467), only below Brazil (first) and Argentina ( second). Uruguay is ranked 4th, and the US is 5th. What's more, most of those players playing abroad are important to their teams such as Chicho Arango or Cucho Hernandez just to name a couple from the MLS. The US needs to humble down, focus on their game and start working their butts off!
En Colombia la camisa de la selección de fútbol representa al país. Cuando juega la selección puedes ver por la calle a las personas con la camisa, mientras trabajan. Esa camisa la usan todos sin importar la raza, ideología política o preferencia sexual
The fact that basically the whole stadium was themed on pride month is crazy and the usmnt supporting and they got thrashed they really got to think they’re decisions
When the opposition has superior ball handling skills, what made the USA think they could dribble past them? The USA should be ashamed of that kind of behavior.
Berhalter is simply a terrible coach who continues to play such naïve soccer. I’ve seen the us against Germany and the Netherlands at the last wc, and it seems like they have not improved at all. The USMNT has some decent to good players it’s just that the coach doesn’t know how to get most out of them. I think Berhalter needs to go.
That's out problem, just because we can finally beat mexico now we think we're automatically world champions, until class teams show us where our place is at.
Ey Guys It's not hate! It's just tradition. We make fun of the opponent when they lose, or worse, when they concede a lot of goals. You should see social media after a match between Peru and Chile, or Mexico and Argentina. They create very creative and funny offensive memes. It's just part of Latino culture. Don't take it personally.

I saw a stat that said, "This is the first time in US Soccer history wherein all the 11 players in their starting eleven are playing in top 5 leagues in Europe"
Which means shit. Somebody can say there are 11 penguins that play for Antartican NT that play for the Prem and it won't mean shit if they suck 😂
Colombia beated the" Best CONCACAF Football national team".
They are not the best concacaf team they are the most hyped up one😅🤮🤢🇺🇸👎🗑🇺🇸🗑🇺🇸🏳️🌈💩💩💩💩💩
Brother is COLOMBIA no CULUMBIA XD
Fully agreed.
The team’s eight- match winless streak against Los Cafeteros is currently the second longest of any opponent after Brazil (11 matches)."
The US cannot underestimate teams like Colombia that have been pumping out great football players for over 40 years.
Ni México, Ni Estados Unidos.. Solo América 🇨🇴😍🥶🥵
Conmebol teams keep on giving Concacaf nations a dose of reality.
US Soccer doing this while US Cricket just beat Pakistan. What the fuck is happening.

USA jerseys are really pride flags? 🤦🏽♂️
Disgusting
With those rainbow colors that are not from the country's flag. The USA is going to do horrible in soccer. It brings bad luck.

En Colombia la camisa de la selección de fútbol representa al país.
Cuando juega la selección puedes ver por la calle a las personas con la camisa, mientras trabajan.
Esa camisa la usan todos sin importar la raza, ideología política o preferencia sexual
It's hilarious how easily people get offended by colors these days😂

Classy Colombia
Poor Reyna he should have been allowed to wear the real jersey his last name is literally reyna
what name does he wore in the match?
Princes
Well done Colombia! ❤

Ey Guys
It's not hate! It's just tradition. We make fun of the opponent when they lose, or worse, when they concede a lot of goals. You should see social media after a match between Peru and Chile, or Mexico and Argentina. They create very creative and funny offensive memes. It's just part of Latino culture. Don't take it personally.
It's fine bro, it's the pride stuff that annoys me.
