I'm arabic and we don't use this work very much. but this is used in some arab country if you want to know what's meaning of (يا لهو ) ya lahoo .... I'll tell you ...... if you want to express feeling about something .. what do you say ? .... if you see normal something you say this is good but, if you see great and beautiful something you say Wow this is extremely beautiful ....... this is the same at arabic .. if we see something we say (شئ جميل = it's beautiful ) .. but when we see something amazing we say (يا لهو من شئ جميل = it's so much beautiful) but this word is used in a few country ...
hey teacher, its obrigatory the "ة" sounds like "tun" everytime? my arab froends said that no and it is classic arabic or anything like that. i personally dont like too much the tun sounds so i normally say without it, but i want to know if am i wrong to not proununce it casually.

You can of course, not pronounce it. For example, instead of saying miklamatn, which means pencil case, you can just say miklama. There is no problem.
