- On this day, I bought a locker for $525 at the auction, because I had a gut feeling about this unit. That's more than I usually like to spend, unless I have a reason to go that high.

I am a 78 year old woman and would have been able to get that dresser in just fine. With the low deck it is all leverage. Of course it would always be better to have help. The thing I can no longer stand on a ladder to get stuff down after falling last year and breaking a rib. I just love watching your videos and look every day hoping for a new one.
Yes....seeing a new person putting their stuff in a locker and your thoughts go to the 'future'...... I live in a 55+ community. When a hear a siren, I think about another estate sale coming soon.

Just because someone has adult coloring book dont mean they are tweakers. I love and have many adult coloring books. They help me with my mental illness.

Colouring books are very relaxing and stress relieving no matter your age.
The dresser you put on the trailer , the one with the bad foot and painted drawer , is solid wood . I am not sure what kind , it does not look like oak , it could be maple. The drawer sides and bottoms are made from solid ply wood the is a good thing. Even in solid wood furniture such as oak , maple and , cherry , the inner drawer is not made from a solid ply wood. I know this because i have worked at a furniture company for years which built solid high priced bed room furniture in which all parts of the furniture were solid wood , or inlay glued panels. This just means that the raw lumber from the tree itself after being milled downed to one inch slabs and dried until the moisture content was very low , in other words dry lumber not green lumber, the lumber would be cut to a length desired and then a person would take that piece of lumber , that is one inch thick and run it through a rip saw , ripping all the bad places from the board out . The good pieces would be stacked , and the bad would be use somewhere else in a shorter piece if it could be or fed to a grinder . All the good pieces would be glued together and tightened down. This is a glued inlay panel. The joints where these boards are glued together are stronger than the wood itself. I have tested it myself on most every type of wood and every application of a piece of furniture. It is hard to believe , but it is true,.....The point is your dresser is a nice piece of furniture and cost alot of money when it was new. I would suggest you , of hire someone , to paint the dresser and repair the leg. If the leg cannot be repaired take the other 3 off and put 4 new heavy duty legs on. It is of no consequence if you paint the dresser like i think you should. .....I would paint it white and paint balloons with strings dangling from them. This would be someone would desire for a little girls room....maybe...but this is just me. The dresser is not junk , far from it.
Yes, it was a nice one. I don't paint much furniture, but I do supply resellers who are looking for such pieces to do the restoration on. Thanks for watching!
I make jokes to myself all the time about the unfortunate cats in Calf. that will never know what it's like to play fetch with a plastic straw (Yes my cat plays fetch & even returns the toys to my hand w/out training.).
At 8:22, that yellow thingy is a voltage SNIFFER. Used to detect power BEHIND the wall...and to see if an outlet is live without touching it.

I bought my first locker! $5 and was all super nice furniture which sells well in my area. Everything is sold except for a couch that goes tomorrow. I made $700 so far. 🤗 I totally understand how you all get pumped up about buying the lockers! I had to share. Your videos are great and you get some awesome lockers!
Yay! That is really exciting and congrats! Furniture is often overlooked at the auctions. We also picked up a $5 furniture locker recently and it was good to us. I’ll have a vid on that next week. Nice job and welcome to the club but bad news is you now officially have an even worse case of Locker Nuts.
Before plastic straws we used to have paper straws, funny how we've come full circle but it makes sense seeing how back to the mid sixties the world was already environmentally friendly then Plastic started being used for everything.

Great Video Jack🥰 Sometimes people move far away and they can’t afford to come back and get their stuff in storage it would cost them a lot to haul all of the stuff. Some people just figure if they haven’t needed to use the items in six months or more why spend the money move the stuff. They might of had to move in a hurry and stuck stuff in storage. That Coca-Cola pocket knife that said "Made in Pakistan" might be a Frost blade. I've never made a bad sale on anything Frost, and the Coke should immediately up the value as well. Cool find!

Plastic straws should be banned so the idiots stop throwing them in the ocean and killing it’s inhabitants. The plastic bags have to be outlawed too (for the same reason).

Hey there. I’m from the Bay Area and was curious what you constitute as a Low end/High end flea market in the Bay Area. I’ve heard you mention the Concord market (which is about 10 minutes from home). Just wanted to get an idea of what markets you are referring to
Hi Jason! I consider Concord to be a mid level flea market. It's good on Saturdays, but I heard better on Sundays although I've never gone on Sunday. They just started Thursdays and I've been a couple times but haven't done well. They are trying to grow Thursdays, and it will take some time to get there. I drive out to Stockton which has markets almost every day of the week, depending on which locale you go to. Those are lower end markets but good way to move a lot of low end merchandise quickly. We just did Alameda Point flea market yesterday, which is just for vintage and antiques, and that's definitely an upscale flea market, probably the best market we've ever been to.

Amanda Thomas thanks I don’t mind that we are transitioning to paper straws. I think it’s stupid to take away straws altogether and make us request a paper straw. Paper straws aren’t much of a threat unless you’re a 🌲.
