I can relate. When I met my husband I just felt like I met my soulmate. A month after we met I lost my virginity and moved in with him. 6 months after that we got married, and a month after marriage I found out I was pregnant.😩 This was in 2009 we have been together since then❤️

I had been on dates, but found them to be sort of like going to the dentist, if that makes sense; sort of like I am supposed to do this, but was not into it. A woman contacted me from a dating site I was on, and had no picture, but was interested in me. I had a picture. So I wrote back and thanked her for her interest, but really knew nothing about her, how she looked, etc. yet she could see me. The profile was pretty bleak too. So she wrote me back and said she didn't want to put a lot online but if I give her my email address, she will send me more information privately. Me, being in IT, I am like "Sure! I will send you my burner email address." So this was around Thanksgiving 2014, and she did send me a picture and more information about why she could not post. She was a black African woman who had migrated to this country in 2000 along with three of her sisters, (she and her sisters are legal citizens and it was fun to go through that process with her) and it surprised me that she would be interested in me, a white American man, I never thought about it. I sent her my phone and we talked, and I felt I really was not ready to date at that time, we had great conversations, but I was so broken, I could not bring that to anyone. We stopped talking. I told her I was not ready.
I went and did this program called DivorceCare and learned how to heal. It was New Years Eve, 2014 going to 2015. I called her and said, "Okay, I had to go through some things, but if you are available, I would like to take you out and see if we have a connection."
So the Saturday was Jan 3rd 2015, was going to meet at this really cool place that had many restaurants and pubs. Was raining and chilly. She got lost and I was on the phone trying to get her to me. FINALLY, she pulled up and blew me away. She went to park and I watched her walk up to meet me and my heart stopped. She was/is beautiful, was not a connection I expected, and didn't expect to feel anything based on the prior year or so, but walking up to me, she grabbed my heart. From that day to present, we became a couple, we met family, we learned the community (Kenyan) and was welcomed with open arms. We got married, and have been happily ever after since. Never give up and never close a door on love. God has matched us to someone, may take a while to find it, but know that regardless of your background, continent, He will bring you together. Amen

Long story short, he was going through some things at the time we met, and I patiently waited through it all because I knew he was the one! So happy for you!!!! 😄

After being natural for a while you'll find a confidence that you've never had before! Not saying it's easy (as I've learned), but that's why it's called a hair journey🤗
