I have never had issues with security on Windows XP, Windows Vista or 7. All of these were solid builds. Take Vista for example, the reason it performed so poorly at the time of its release was because hardware manufacturers did not release compatible drivers to support it. With the correct drivers and some tweaks, it can run efficiently, stable and boot up as fast as Windows 7. Obliviously, you don't understand the under pinnings of windows operating systems. I am an avid user of 7. I have even modified and use Windows 7 Build 6801 extensively as a daily driver on two laptops. If you know the build's structure and how it works, you can do alot. If you are so concern about security, you would use a linux distro such as TENS or eLive. I also use a few linux distros if I am going to unknown websites. Also, the regedit tool is the best tool in Windows. One should learn it. You can even use it to disable unwanted services or remove the most stubborn virus if you did get one on your system. When Chrome and firefox drop Windows seven is when the numbers will seriously drop.

Windows 11 pissed me off. It got slow and annoying. I bought a MacBook for college in June and have only used my PC once since, and that was only to get a list of what mods I had installed on my games because I had a steam deck on the way.
My plan was to boot up the computer, open steam, launch the two games I needed, and shut it back off. IT. TOOK. FORTY. FIVE. MINUTES. Something my Mac OR my Deck could do in 5 minutes (apart from the fact that the M1 chip can’t game) TOOK FORTY FIVE MINUTES.
It was at that moment that any interest I had in ever using windows again disappeared from my body. If I ever do use it again, it’ll be for a VR rig where I don’t have to look at it.

We had the same dire warnings and the same concern then and yet it edged downward very slowly. Arguably it is lack of browser support that really knocked the number down. When Chrome and firefox drop Windows seven is when the numbers will seriously drop.
Yes. I ran XP into 2015 and actually preferred not receiving more updates. The last updates only made things worse and took more control away from you. I wonder...... Perhaps calling Windows 7 users dumb isn't really a good way to present your personal opinion as they have rights to use what they want to use. The only problem is that all the maintenances are becoming their responsibility and they may need to learn how to keep their data safely in unsupported operating systems - but as long as they are using Windows 7 with knowledge, they don't deserve to be called dumb. Although I understand your opinion and those statements are mostly correct - using appropriate words can be a huge deal (although I believe TH-camrs may have that skill as a basic manner). Except that, information you provided in this video may be handy for the Windows 7 users - which is good.
Exploits cannot be prevented by antiviruses
@@drerilith1962 Agreed. Core security vulnerabilities can not be covered unless if they are enterprise users, as they still do receive the security updates. But for personal users, yes... Perhaps they would need to disconnect the internet or would only use intranet? One of my friend's example was about the printer driver, which supports only up to Windows 7 so we decided to use it offline as he could still download the file he needs to print with his laptop. As long as they know what they do, and they know it is their responsibility to take care of themselves, I still am sure they will be fine.
@@faefee I would rather saying things with constructive opinion than being sarcastic without saying an single word that proves I am wrong or any such (which are sort of behaviours simply can be found from the common fanboy). @@AussieAcorn Yeah it involves being more responsible because it is much more risky
The only problems is security, I do encourage those who are still Using Windows 7 to upgrade to Windows 10, which assuming you have hardware that meets Windows 10's requirements, which not a lot may have aside from Gaming PCs, Manufacturers move to the latest version, a 3 year gap is most likely going to make it so you need hardware you bought at the end of 7's Prime. If you don't have compatible hardware, I would feel very sorry if all you're data was lost, it's not your fault. Hardware isn't made to last 11 years and run the latest version of everything. You might not be able to afford a new PC, which is okay, but I encourage those whose PC can run 10 to upgrade to 10.

Therefore, I have never encountered any of the warning ans such from Microsoft. ANYONE who depends on Microsoft for their security gets what they deserve and they are keeping me in the consulting business.
By the same token, I have made a LOT of money fixing BS from Windows 10. One customer went ahead and upgraded all the machines in his office to Windows 10. Cost him over $350 for me to come in and repair his network and other system issues. He just recently had to spend ANOTHER $350 for a machine to be rebuilt due to a locked up automatic update that hosed his complete machine. Answer from Microsoft on both issues - "Sorry".
I just spent a few hours turning off all the spying from Microsoft on a new customer's machine. (Took a while) PLUS her automatic updates. I was amazed at how much there was and even had to go into the registry because one kept turning itself back on.

Windows 10 is a classic game killer I'm sorry if I'm wrong but that's how I feel
Still...
*Windows 7 will be in my heart Forever.*
I have never used windows7
I want to buy windows vista laptop 😀

@@fargeeks windows 7 and windiws vista have simular ui's.
I would like to say RIP Windows 10 but I really will say GO TO HELL Windows 10. Long live Windows 7.

Me who uses win7 for 4yrs: No way
My windows 7 laptop is 11 years old
Now soo much slower
@@technicalbunny7210 Me using Windows 7 from 2012 , once in 2017 I upgraded to Windows 10 but in again 1 month, I came back to Windows 7. Windows 7 and XP - The two legendary OS.
If your PC is running Windows 10, you may be able to upgrade to Windows 7 depending on your hardware.
Remember to use the Simplix update pack to create an ISO with USB 3.0 and NVMe drivers as well as all updates, including ESU ones.
I would say only if you’re on a Skylake or earlier processor. There’s some unofficial drivers for the Coffee Lake chipset but it’s not fun fakesigning them
I use Windows 98 still and it runs fine. In fact it does everything Windows 10 does minus the SaaS ecosystem. Since most modern games and applications are just rentals with a monthly fee/dlc/gambling systems these days I'm not missing anything from Windows 10 when I think about it. As far as going online is concerned, there's Linux.
honestly you should upgrade to at least windows vista, more recoomended 10 or 7 or 11, but why?, you cant run any software, not even roblox or most games
maybe they dont have the requirements, they should upgrade to XP atleast@@petermmm42
I will stay on Windows 7, I love insecurity. It is at least better than Microsoft spying.
Edit: I tried Windows 10... And it did change my opinion. The Windows 10 is full of bugs and random shut down and slow down and shit... I just wasted a 3h work bcuz of a fkn random restart. Thanks Microsoft and I would not recommending installing Windows 10 (Pro, I use that... Activated). My personal choice will still be Windows 7 and/or if u want to have support and no bugs, I will go for LINUX instead!
You exist on line as a community and to not stay up to date makes others more vulnerable whom you interact with. It will come to the point you will be driving on the left side of the road. Not a good place to be.
@༷ 1. I trust Google more than Microsoft
2. I only use Google on phone and not on my PC, and on my PC, I do all my banking and store all kind of password and stuff so I don't want anyone to spy on my files.
3. Insecurity makes you learn new things (as I have experienced, cuz you learn about the various bugs/xploit and get knowledge about them which will/could be useful if Microsoft screws up as I will already know a "work-around"
**Microsoft = 1 company spying on you**
**Google+ISP = 2 company spying on you** and they don't share information with each other so I'm more safe with my information divided into 2 than 1.
@@larrybe2900 Actually I like your logic... But I don't care about others, and if they are on a up to date OS then how would they be able to be more vulnerable bcuz Microsoft should've already patched the exploit in the latest OS. Else "hackers" would be able to infect others using Windows 7?
Bill Gates might become the next Mark Zuckerberg.
@@Itroublve
"I don't care about others", can't argue with that.
"If You Still Use Internet Explorer, You Are VERY BIG BRAIN!"
Unfortunately there is a significant issue with some hardware that is only accessible because of proprietary interfaces and communication protocols that have plugins or extensions for old IE versions and nothing else. The hardware is absolutely fine, but without specific versions of IE, that perfectly good hardware is nothing.
r/woosh
I actually do.
Internet explorer is the garbage web browser.
I dont think any of the windows 7 users care. Since all programs were up to date.
I'm a small business owner and a few of my computers and servers still run Windows 7 Professional. Since end of support I have received 2 security updates already after January 14th, 2020. I'm not seeing any difference, but am increasing security measures since it is still risky running the outdated operating system.
Honestly as long as you don't do anything stupid you should be fine however in the future it might be worth looking at upgrading as when browsers drop support (REAL SECURITY ISSUE AT THAT POINT.) that's the real time to move up.
I've told you before, ThioJoe, I'm dumb regardless of what I'm using

Well it's 2022 and I'm still using windows 7
I love Windows 7 more than Windows 10. There are moments were i want to go back to Windows 7.
There is not one moment that I do not want to go back to Windows 7 but I have no choise as there is no drivers for my Workstation. But it runs Mac OS as Hackintosh so I survive :) Only run W10 for gaming.
Tomasz Falkowski the go back bro.
I used Windows 10, but my PC seems to be too powerless for it. 3 days from when this comment has been sent my PC wasn't able to do anything and my heart disk was a bit damaged. I have no choice but windows 7.
