This is the husband of the child called Jyotsna who studied under Smt Padmavathy Ananthagopalan and Jayanthi Akka as she calls you taught her Gopika Manoharam. She was retelling me why she took a whole of 2 months to learn the song so that she could be in ur presence for longer. You have always been an inspiration and will continue to be so. Love the strings attached, we are husband wife in life and and in business together, can read the expressions and understandings in the Music. My only desire was to know the Pallavi lines. With your beautiful voice which we hear in those short episodes which you release periodically, it would be nice if you sing those pallavi lines before the Pallavi.

I just got this message from a fellow rasika friend and will listen to the concert after he identifies all the ragas ! "This concert is excellent. I think Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh started off with a song in Charavagam followed by a delectable song in Saraswathi and now I'd playing a mellifluous Chrukesi, what a lovely raga and the Dhavni from the veena is so melodious. She has excellent accompanists and this concert will be a collector's item."

I don’t think it is Charukesi - it is Sarasangi, the next Melakarta to Charukesi, hence it sounds very similar. Jayanthi has played a Ragam, Thanam, Pallavi in Sarasangi and you can find it on TH-cam.
Similarly, I don’t think it is Chakravakam, but sounds very similar to that, possibly Suryakantham. Will come back on that!
After Sarasangi she played Behag RTP; for Ragamalika she played Bowli and Revathi. After Thani Avarthanam she played Sindhu Bhairavi

The sound is terrible. I think the hard wooden stage floor is making the sound echo and become out of phase. To me, the pure Veena Tone is missing because of that.

Playing th Veena in vilamba kaala….always soothing, but y using Tabla for Carnatic music… ? It never suits , instead Ghatam is better option.
Only mridangam would have suited concert very well . Tabla is out of sync.

Stop adding advertising, that is too much annoying and harassing for audiences , it going to make them angry ,
The recording is not satisfactory.Could not recording be done without hall reverberation? I dont think halls in USA can be that bad that nothing could be done. Performance excellent but much of it is spoiled by recording..
