Judge is biased. She lets Amber's witnesses tell whole Trilogie sagas - but asks all the time Johnny's witnesses are on stand how much longer it will take. Rude. Biased.
If Johnny wouldn't have ended the relationship with Amber, I am pretty sure Amber would have used the knife one day. I assume her to be highly aggressive and dangerous. She has a side one can only speculate about. But it can be noticed in lots of little moments when one pays attention to her reactions.

1) Johnny seemed to be fearless in making "snarky" remarks to the defense lawyer. 2) Johnny told Amber what happened with Kate's 3 steps slip so it doesnt make sense for Amber to think of hitting her husband bcuz of that incident. 3) When Amber is not a threat anymore, I think Whitney(& maybe the father) will tell the truth about Amber's abusive behavior towards her and others.
