This mans father was the most influential guitarist in recent African history, and he and his father knew and played with the legendary Boubacar Traoré. Dude had an incredible amount of amazing talent to influence him
The world would be a much better place if we only listened to these beautiful sounds and rich music of senses and understandings... Praise to Vieux Farka Touré, his musicians and his family... Hopefully the divine sources will hear these waves... Peace and love to all good listeners.
Quels musiciens d'exception ! 🥰
This wonderful music carried me back to my country Ethiopia which I left 41 years ago. It provoked in me a nostalgic hankering for reconnection with the cultural world, society I knew that is no more there, for dear families and friends that are no more there. It is a powerful music that connects humanity. Finally I say long live Vieu & his group in my language.
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Neil Konnor thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@ronzyl1 Hes usually rushing, at times he’s dragging. Generallly not with the other guys. Check out gabou ni tie for some tight playing… stark difference.
Saw himm last Friday night in Bristol UK. it was a small seated arena, but he had everyone up and dancing. Exceptional musician, great bass and percussion alongside. I saw a film called Timbuctu a year ago, , about what happened in Mali a few years ago, which was tragic, This performance, for me, was life affirming, for Mali, Africa and the world. William
I love the traditional way Vieux Farka and his band sit to play. The white percussionist dude is totally in the mood! This music makes me so homesick; the sound of Sahel calling.
The most beautiful music I've ever heard so far, there is a good communication between the team and they feel the music. no words can explain my feeling.
Saw Vieux just last Saturday and I've can't remember ever being so touched by such beautiful music and such artistry...truly an incredible experience. Please listen or get to see him, so worth it.
Just heard them, live in Mixtape Sofia... WOW, just WOW... No expectations whatsoever... But I was BLOWN AWAY... How did I miss this until now??? Amazing!!!
Vieux love, your music. It warms the soul. I am sure your father is very proud of what you have accomplished and share with the world. Looking forward to learning Bambara to understand the lyrics. And hopefully hear you play live one day. For now, I will just watch this video, over and over and over..
Sorry, I just can't help it; I keep listening to Vieux and his magnificent ensemble with a ''stupid grin'' plastered all across my face . . . This is just a 'set absolument incroyable'!!! . . . (And the percussionist just _melts into_ this unique flow of pure heartfelt musicality!!!) . . . 💓🙏
Wrong.....Africa is the strong hold of Mali classic music. When it comes to the Sahara desert music... ain't no West, East, North and South Africa. Only sub-Sahara desert music. You have to know what's blue note?! ...to understand what I'm talking about.

He's Ali Farka Tour's son. The most guitar player ever in Africa. he is in the list of the 100 most guitarists of all time in the world according to rolling stone and spin. Sorry for my English.

The drummer is a superb anchor for this glorious music!
Funny i thought the opposite
