Do you really need to drain it from the bottom? Thermostat seems to be placed much to the top of entire cooling circuit. Can't you just suck out sufficient fluid amount from the reservoir with a vacuum pump? Would be much much much easier:)

Yes, whichever method you use, the coolant level needs to be below the thermostat. This is simply the method described by Renault.

Not sure in which Clio model you should put green instead of red coolant?!? Since all of them have aluminium heatsink

When the manual was written, Renaults recommendation for coolant was: Glacerol RX-D
