    I don't understand those expecting Nix to be playing like Manning right out of the gate. Even Manning played underwhelmingly in his rookie season.

    How awesome is it to see the rookies play so well! That’s the most exciting thing! The culture is changing!!!

    I definitely think Nix is our man, I think his early running helped him get loose and confident. I hope Payton lets him play his game. Nix did miss seeing and hitting some open receivers. At other times receivers dropped the ball.
    Joseph has the defense looking snappy.
    Go Broncos!

    Awesome team win! Some thoughts:
    1. If young Bo could get his nerves calmed down earlier in games, we could be cruising with our D. The jittery footwork is why he's missing so many throws. He settles down closer to the half. This can and will get fixed.
    2. If McGlinchey or Palco were healthy for the Chargers game, it wouldn't have been so lopsided. 3rd string RT proved to be catastrophic. This OL is special when healthy.
    3. If the run game can keep this up, we'll be in every game. Austime is a worry, though. 2 fumbles on extremely limited carries? Not good. Sign Watson back until that's corrected.
    4. D bounced back huge without Surtain. Saints were brutally injured but Broncos teams of old found ways to lose games like this.
    5. If the young targets for Bo like Krull, Franklin, and Vele can keep progressing, we could possibly sneak into the playoffs. I'd love to see Mims take a step forward too. Krull has to be a focus moving forward. You gotta have someone to throw to at TE.
    6. Like it or not, if we want to keep winning, we're going to have to make Bo a big part of the run game like a young Josh Allen. Bo's legs are going to have to compensate for the passing game until the staff can get his footwork cleaned up and until he gets used to being under center.

      Those are all good points. To be honest, I feel this game was more how bad off the Saints are than how great the Broncos are doing. Spencer Rattler, while not terrible, isn't scaring anyone. The major positives are the run game (finally!) and our defense sans Surtain. It's not feeling flimsy, like one injury will change the defensive schematic (like last year). However, Bo has got to get his feet under him. His dirt throws are wearing thin, but he's definitely the Broncos QB of the future. Good times for sure. (and yeah, to hell with this Njoku talk, put Krull in)

      Totally agree. I just ignored all the negative stuff. They're grinders and now winners. Let this young team go through it's adversity for it will make them tougher in the long run. I understand that they're making mistakes. Nobody's perfect! Let them make the mistakes. THEY WILL LEARN, THEY WILL GROW, AND THEY WILL BE BETTER! GO BRONCOS!!

    • @78LedHead
      @78LedHead 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rasserfrasser Thanks. I agree with you. The only thing I'd slightly push back on is FOR THE RIGHT PRICE (emphasis on RIGHT PRICE), I wouldn't mind a Njoku, or Hunter Henry, or even Evan Ingram. It would have to be something like the Jeudy trade, though.... a 5th and a future late rounder. Anything higher? Nah.... just tough it out with Krull. We finally have an identity with this D, and that identity could grow even more if the ground attack can keep doing this. Only reason it didn't vs the Chargers was the OL injuries. Super proud of VJ and the D. He has them playing as one without much star power. Also have to be proud of the culture change. We've won quite a few games that were automatic losses before Sean Payton (name the coach since Kubes retired). But yeah, this win was more about the Saints being injured and them giving up on Dennis Allen, more than it was how dominant we are, but that D is dominant no matter what. It'll return to form when PSII is back in there.

    • @rasserfrasser
      @rasserfrasser 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@78LedHead Yeah, totally agree man. We're fringe on buying right now. That and VJ is totally out of the doghouse from any last year Dolphin bruises. He's starting to look covetable and making Sean look really savvy. As for players, Sean's a guy who likes what he knows more than to jump at what he likes. I don't see us getting splashy unless we trounce the Ravens and the Chiefs. Not certain on trade dates though. You said the key word though 'identity'. Things are starting to take form, yeah, feels like the first real thing since Kubes. What's funny is that we've lost so many home games, playing on the road is like, whatever LOL

    • @78LedHead
      @78LedHead 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rasserfrasser For sure man. The home field losses are baffling. Mile High should be devastating to opposing teams. We have to recapture that magic somehow. The trade deadline comes smack dab in between Balt and KC. If we beat the Panthers and Ravens (which is a big if), I agree, MAYBE we're buyers, but it's just maybe. We still have Parham Jr. looming on the PS too. I'm kinda 50/50 on it. Need to keep feeding Mims, Vele, Franklin, and Krull and see what's up.

    I cannot understand the “fan,” negativity. He threw a couple bad balls, otherwise he was solid. The rookie is learning and the Broncos are winning. All is well😂😂

    I remember John Elway's rookie season. I used to listen to Jim Turner and Mike Hafner's radio call-in program. People were calling in, trashing Elway because he didn't look as good as Marino. In fact, in the early games, he looked terrible. Turner and Hafner were saying what you're saying, that he was just a rookie. One incredulous fan angrily said, "What are you seeing out there?!" Hafner responded, "I'm seeing a super-star learning how to play the game." It turns out that Hafner was right. The same thing will likely happen with Nix.

    Good Win. Defense completely dominated, despite missing PS2 and being forced back into zone coverage. Offense was efficient, running game was excellent, but defense definitely main reason we won this game.
    Was disappointed with Bo Nix's performance, but was encouraged by two of his throws in particular. Neither throw was worthy of the highlight reels, but both caught my attention because Bo displayed excellent anticipation and timing. One was a 10 yard pass to Jordan Humphrey, and one was a pass to Mims that should have been caught for some 15 yards. Both times, the timing and anticipation Bo Nix displayed was extremely impressive. Reminded me of the way he played back in Tampa.
    Still was mostly disappointed with how Bo played though. Saints defense wasn't good at all, our receivers were getting much more separation in this game. Bo continues to struggle with accuracy, a lot. Twice we had to settle for field goals when players were open for touchdowns. Tight end was open for first down, and Franklin was probably open for a touchdown. Second play tight end is open for a touchdown, is standing less than 5 yards from Bo, but Bo still misses him. These two passes were even criticized at halftime. Bo almost threw an interception before halftime. I think he was aiming for Vele, who was open, but the pass was so off I can't tell for sure. Bo also almost missed his tight end agian near the fifty yard line for 20+ yards, but the tight end was at least able to jump up and come down with that pass.
    If Bo Nix is going to make it in the NFL, he desperately needs to improve his footwork, his overall mechanics. After 7 weeks, I have seen zero improvement so far. Watch how Bo lifts the heel of his foot before he rotates his hips, how his feet sometimes leave the ground entirely, how he raises his shoulders before he throws, etc. Until Bo Nix fixes these mechanics, he will continue to throw inaccurate passes, and those missed opportunities will lose us games, possibly even keep this team out of the postseason, despite having a top 5 defense. These inaccurate throws are leaving points on the field and causing turnovers. Bo had the entire offseason to work on these things, the season is about halfway over at this point, we should be seeing signs of improvement by now.
    For these reasons, I am officially off the Bo train. I will be the first the eat crow if time proves me wrong, hope does still remain. But I wanted to see much more tonight competing against such a pushover defense. The receivers got considerably more separation tonight. This offense will keep us out of a postseason that the defense deserves to be in. That is my (lengthy) gut reaction.

    It’s a win but unfortunately the questions about Bo Nix still remains. He missed open receivers, awful footwork, and could have had easily 1-2 INTs. We should have scored at least in the 40’s. As of right now I just don’t see a franchise QB. He’s a great backup but not the franchise

    Nix threw a lot of bad balls for me. He’s still the guy. He runs the offence well and his scrambling is top class. His accuracy was really poor but i do think he will improve. We should beat the panthers and then that’s not bad for a team supposed to win 5 all season

    If Nix couldn't run BC would be nervous he's Tebow 2.0 at this point. I'm giving him next season to be sure. He does need more weapons. NFL product is bad lots of crappy teams. NO's quit on their HC it was obvious last night.

    U guys continue to shit on pookie. U want more Estime? Is that it? He makes Melvin Gordon look like a HOF player.
    And I'm all for optimisim....but how u can repeatedly put the words "Bo Nix" and "Dimes" in the same sentence repeatedly has me wondering if u need stronger glasses. I have 20/20 vision....and what I saw was Nix somehow miss TWO wide open guys in THE SAME AREA and somehow threw it between them. I saw him dirt a couple short layup. The only wide open man I saw him hit all night was Tyrann Mathieu. Those throws Nix missed are made by NFL QBs 10/10 times, and to say otherwise, ur either in denial or lying to yourself. I LOVE the Broncos. But Bo makes things look hard that shouldn't be, rookie or not. There is evidence piling up that he is not the guy. I haven't seen another QB all year make embarrassing throws like that. Good thing payton stuck with the run.

      I pretty much lost faith in Estime tonight. He fumbled in the preseason, he fumbled against the Seahawks, and he fumbled again tonight. He cannot be trusted.
