@@thg5207 Was talking specifically of the type of songs that Break My Mind and Moving Up in The World are. Close to Home and Mad Man are completely different kinds of songs.
Nate, the song part that is used as Freddy's attack song is called March of the Toreador. It's called that because it's played when bullfighters enter the arena.
@@MattTOB618You're right. 😅 I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. Must've been still tired out of my mind when I watched this and commented.
I really enjoy your reactions, Nate. Because it's pretty rare to see some people do critique in music reactions, but at the same time you also do the rare thing of giving alternatives that could be more standard and catch more people's ears, too. Which I think is great for other musicians watching because it could be more practical. Maybe sometime you can listen to some songs that are more experimental sounding and make some comments about those? Great video, by the way. I enjoyed.
I'd love to see Nate collab with DAGames, having them both do their own version of one of their older songs. With DA doing one of Nate's songs and vice versa yk? That would be such an awesome collab
What makes me love this song is the feeling of mixing Will's beginning and later songs. Tough and forceful like "game over" and "left behind." But the grunge vocals and rhythmic drums like "Purple Guy" and "Not Here All Night" The fact of having errors, in my taste, makes me feel even more chaos, adding more energy to something that already has it.
the comment on the lyrics being too connected to the game is an issue I often have with nerdcore as well, luckily in recent years Will/DAGames has gone back to the formula of making an original song then attaching a game to it afterwards, they actually have a whole album coming this year based on that concept called Open Infinitum, Will makes a song on his own, hands it off to the DACrew, and they decide what game it could be applied to and take it from there
Yeah especially when I put one on while driving and a family member or friend in the passenger seat goes “oh is this a Fnaf song?” And in my head I go “Yeah duh it’s a song about Fnaf but I don’t want to talk about it, besides it’s a good song in general apart from that.”
I absolutely love everything about this video. I’ve always wanted to watch Natewantstobattle react to other FNAF songs and give his artistic opinion on it and I love his FnaF music and music in general ❤
He has a good mix of songs that are loregma or songs that well, aren’t. I’d say songs like I Will Not Be Moved, maybe Left Behind, and the newer ones like Close To Home and Moving Up In The World are definitely LESS on the nose
Game Over is also another FNaF4 song DAGames has, and it's just as cool as break my mind. His songs are definitely just one of the best in the whole fandom
The sister location song by Living Tombstone is STILL his best song. Not because it fits with the game, but because you can fit it in different contexts. It makes it more personal and versatile. It feels that way.
Okay, I've loved this song since it released. But the *one* thing that's bugged me about it: What the flip is the line at 9:36?? "Those toys were just meant to like you to be bled"? I get that it essentially means "the Freddles are gonna be a problem", but the way it's worded makes it sound like Will included a mis-speak into the rap (as in, "Those toys were just meant to, like, you to be bled"), and it's always bugged me. Maybe if it was "want you to be bled", it could've worked better for me, as "they want you to" is more personally motivated than "they'd like you to", and it doesn't carry that same "flub" energy.
I have the same issue and I think it took reading this to be able to figure out why it bothers me so much lol, but now I get what they were trying to say. I do agree the “want you to be bled” would’ve made things clearer
Usually these "songwriter reacts to song" videos are a bunch of nothing burgers but with Nate i really feel like has something to say about what he reacts to. Good content.
I don't usually watch reactions to songs because of how boring they are, so I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how you managed to turn a 4 min song to 13 minutes of explaining- If you do another reaction could the song Pick Your Poison be considered? It's by the channel Astildi
Oh, I really love this song. But with a twist - I love the russian cover of this song by Sayonara. It goes much harder (at least for me) and probably because it's my native language. But no hate for this one - DAGames absolutely cooked!
I fucking love that its still a runnning joke that nate doesnt know how to pronounce DAGames lmao!!!!
I think it's very intentional, especially if they've collabed. He probably knows but calls him Dag Ames as a joke
or he somehow actually doesn't know
Gag Ames would be better 😂😂😂😂

Nate, the song part that is used as Freddy's attack song is called March of the Toreador. It's called that because it's played when bullfighters enter the arena.
No, it was written for the opera _Carmen,_ and it's called that because it is sung by Escamillo the bullfighter as he enters during Act 2.
