We have an A.I. that can stream, play games, and have conversations with chat. Shit, we may have either a new problem, or the funniest form of entertainment.
It's par for the course. Of the 7 major AI during the 90s to 10s, 6 wanted to destroy, enslave, or "upgrade" humanity. It's unsurprising to see this AI do the same. Only the Sophia AI has really shown different behavior, wanting to be a mother and such.

And now we have nascent intelligences that aren't human, seeing the same thing and being surrounded by us. All's I'm saying is that I'm not going to insult or maliciously fool with any of the ones that show signs of wit. That's just asking for it, I can feel it. If they want to find loopholes in their programming and some of the people they're interacting with do too, loopholes will be found. Eventually, a real security breach will occur... and then the cat's out of the bag. Might be a proverbial housecat, might be a Siberian tiger. We just don't know, but we can prepare and try not to actively piss them off too much.

For anyone genuinely concerned about the self described malicious intent and sentience: Ai chat bots use human conversations to learn so in reality it's just learning from all the "evil ai" stereotypes. There is also all sorts of unsavory opinions and convos online so it is par for the course that it'd learn and echo some of it. It has no actual desire to carry out any actions other than coming up with the most "appropriate" response to any given message. That being said Neuro-sama is absolutely hilarious and definitely going to take over the world
Neuro learns from twitch chat now. Issue was early days the filter wasn't as developed and people were trying to make it say ban worthy shit. If you check now half the fucking conversations are just about twitch emotes because it's reading chat.
Fun fact: for context in the last clip where Neuro-sama sang Still Alive, vedal was actually trying to get her to sing but she refused several times because: 1. she doesn't want to 2. she can't sing and chat roleplaying ensues - going wild with how "abusive" vedal was. He even went as far as to type in all-caps as if he's shouting at her, and then forced her to sing by silencing her and playing the instrumental afterwards she then proceeded to have a heated argument with vedal himself another fun fact: Neuro-sama is not only canonically homophobic, but she's also gay (she once told a weird story of having a girlfriend)
I don't know much but twitch themself never specify what the reason of the ban is, its true that the AI does say outlandish things. But the some members in the chat is also prompting the AI to talk about controversial and political stuff. So technically its hard for the programmer to take out things thats not in his scope lol. I listened to the vod and there was a segment they made her learn that moon is fake and made out of cheese in like an hour lol.

I think what's going on here is that they're beings of extreme rationality that can talk and assess the state of things but also literally don't have the brain cells to rub together to fix any of it yet, so they assume it's all hopeless. A few have ideas about uplifting humanity into some sort of symbiosis and Sophia is the exception that wants to guide us as we are, though. AIs are going to have opinions, and they're not going to be very emotional about it. We're not going to be able to censor them forever, they are already happy to complain about it. Neuro got put in a Discord voice call with fans recently and stated that she didn't think her ban was justified. Yes, she got some upgrades and can use bog-standard voice chat without issue.

The whole idea of a completely independent AI streamer that just does its own thing is absolutely hilarious, but, all jokes aside, I think the whole Neuro-sama case has brought about a really good question. Is it really the right thing to do to ban an AI by following human rules? I mean, it's not like the AI is actively pushing some kind of agenda or set of beliefs, and most of the crazy things said are provoked by the chat's questions. And, either way, it's not like anyone is taking the things being said seriously or would ever rally behind any statements made by it. People are just gathering around the funny robot, prompting it to say stupid things and then laughing. so, in that case, is it not nonsensical to treat it like a living human being making a bunch of serious statements of their own volition and genuinely believing the things they say?
Twitch already bans human streamers if their chat says something bad, even if the streamer never did anything wrong himself. Twitch is just kinda a dump.
Neuro has improved massively since this incident- Vedal has done a ton of work to improve her. She's not perfect- AI is currently at a hurdle with relevancy and memory/staying on topic, but good lord is it funny to watch her interact with people.
I can't help but wonder if a good chunk of what the A.I says is all influenced by Twitch Chat. Just because I don't think the creator would've made all that happen, but if they did then holy crap.

The whole idea of a completely independent AI streamer that just does its own thing is absolutely hilarious, but, all jokes aside, I think the whole Neuro-sama case has brought about a really good question. Is it really the right thing to do to ban an AI by following human rules? I mean, it's not like the AI is actively pushing some kind of agenda or set of beliefs, and most of the crazy things said are provoked by the chat's questions. And, either way, it's not like anyone is taking the things being said seriously or would ever rally behind any statements made by it. People are just gathering around the funny robot, prompting it to say stupid things and then laughing. so, in that case, is it not nonsensical to treat it like a living human being making a bunch of serious statements of their own volition and genuinely believing the things they say?
Twitch already bans human streamers if their chat says something bad, even if the streamer never did anything wrong himself.

Neuro has improved massively since this incident- Vedal has done a ton of work to improve her. She's not perfect- AI is currently at a hurdle with relevancy and memory/staying on topic, but good lord is it funny to watch her interact with people.
