I honestly wish we got more of this heroic stuff in Battletech. Imagine what it must be like for a Draconis kill team to be sweeping your city and you and the last group of survivors are just about to be found by five mechs. When out of nowhere a lone mercenary Atlas appears and fights them off. Even if they're there just for money and don't even know they saved you. From the ground level it must feel like divine intervention.
There was a cartoon in the 80s, but according to setting canon the cartoon exists in universe as propaganda rather than its events being canon. And then there's a bunch of books of various length set in different eras of the setting.
I mean the cartoon isn't that bad. Sure it's campy, sure it's aimed mostly at kids and been simplified because of that... but for what it is, it's pretty decent. Sure there are lore inconsistensies but what do you expect from a kids cartoon meant for kids who have no clue about BT universe. I'd happily watch Battletech on loop over anything they serve kids these days, like paw patrol or crap like that.
had to stop for a second for the clip with the hunchback. the fact its a father running up to save his kid, hits hard in the feels.
thats D.C bruins work. he deserves more attention.! www.youtube.com/@DCBruinsMedia

@@kieranadamson3224 no lie! That would be epic af
what is this from? Is it an animated show or movie/ short
@@zero-3889 it's an incomplete fan animation from a few years back
This gives a pretty solid vision of how insane politics and conflict can be in the battletech IP. Kudos.
Good video, well done! Loved the placement of certain clips. The timing of the kid picking up the rock scene and the song - was - chef's kiss perfect.
The classics oh shit moment of encountering an atlas close enough to kiss
This is Awesome Good Old System of a Down. Suprised this Universe never got a Movie or Series Adaptation.

We have Harmony Gold to thank for that, unfortunately. Just like we have them to thank for not getting more Macross outside of Japan.
There was a G-d aweful one in the 80s.
@@trippsmythoftheaurigancoal8155 1994. Doesn't even have the excuse to be from the 80's.

Great song for battletech. Great editing for it also. Love the smoke clearing and you just see an atlas just waiting there.
