@capheind I'm not really sure what the pattern is, and if it's really a tartan . It might be just made up for tv. But still, "fascinating" - in my best Spock. 😇
@markchriestenson3257 I'm pretty sure it is the Scott Clans Black and white tartan. It looks almost exactly like it. Also Scotty is a member of clan Scott.
Robert Howard's character Conan was supposedly a once-upon-a-time, mythical version of a Highland Scot, so it's not out of the question that the character and his people would have worn something like tartans, and pehaps a great-kilt-ish garment of sorts.
Not sure, but all of the "Braveheart" tartans always seem off from the screen used tartan. So I'm not sure of anyone that actually does a proper repro. But I'm with Mac, movie accuracy. That said, they need an Obi-Wan Kenobi Tartan.
So, my dad finally learned his old family Name and it's McArthur. The Irish spelling of MacArthur. My mother is MacIndoe/Buchanan and i have our kilt passed to me from her dad but i cannot find nor do i have a MacArthur kilt. I personally like the MacArthur of Milton pattern, do you guys make it?
Mentioningshrek , I think of swamp donkey, I was watching another video on language of Scotland 🏴🏴, and apparently swamp donkey, is a profanity. However I really liked that character. I ‘ d love to see what a swamp Donkey kilt would look like….lol 😅😂I’m imagining the tawny colours he is.
The kilt that Scotty wore on Star Trek the original series.
It looks alot like one of the registered B&W Clan Scot patterns.

There can be only one! The Macleod tartan from the original Highlander in a "Great Kilt"!

The tartan on Hit-Girls skirt in the 2010 movie ”Kick-Ass” looks pretty cool

I always liked the tartan that Christopher Lambert wears as Vercingetorix in the underrated film "Druids" (2001).
YES!!!! Rocky finally drops my favorite word twice!!!!
Tunes of Glory, 1960 british drama movie about a Highland Regiment
Best part was Rocky's Sam L Jackson impression 😂😂
Macleod from Highlander. I can't think of any other tv shows or movies that a tartan could be or has been made for right now.
In Star Trek Scotty had a kilt with his dress uniform.

Other than Liam Neison wearing his kilt, are there any other pictures of the tartan available to see?
Brave heart was kinda cool. I know I know it’s fake history.

I know this isn't exactly the ask, but I think a tartan based on Tron Legacy could be cool. Also, one inspired by Big Trouble in Little China.

+USAKiltsOfficial *The Rob Roy MacGreghuir tartan is a plain red-and-black sett parallel to the Moncreiffe red and green.*
