- 在2016超级女声100进20的赛程中，陈卓璇在5月2日的百强分班赛遗憾地没能成功晋级为正式生，所以作为预备生参加了接下来的换位考核赛。陈卓璇参加了第一场和第三场换位考核赛，但都没能踢馆成功。在6月4日的第五场换位考核赛中，陈卓璇终于踢馆成功进入城堡成为第六批正式生20强。在6月10日的第六场正式生周考中，陈卓璇首次演唱摇滚曲目《盛夏光年》但未能晋级，于是紧接着参加6月11日的第六场换位考核赛，演唱了《喜欢你》和《唱衰》。由于练摇滚时嗓子受损，陈卓璇未能正常发挥，考核失败。
2016超级女声采取“20名正式生+80名预备生+N名插班生”的模式。通过两场百强分班赛，5月2日诞生出的首批20位正式生率先入住女声学院并开始一周时间的特训。落选的80名选手成为预备生，并分成5个小组，由5名不同的导师带领训练。从5月3日到6月18日七周的时间，每周五20名正式生需参加小考，根据当周赛制判定，考试合格者继续学院学业，不合格者与80名预备生中的当周优胜者一同参与周六的换位考核，产生的新正式生搬入女声学院进行学习。除了百强内部的厮杀，她们还要抵御外来的“插班生”。从入住女声学院（5月9日）第二周开始，有除了百强外的选手预约踢馆，通过几轮的人气比拼，每周获胜的前五名能参与和预备生换位PK，PK成功者进入预备生队伍。最后一周还留在女生学院的正式生进入巅峰总决赛。（凤凰娱乐，2016年5月4日，ient.ifeng.com/... ）
In Super Girl 2016, Zhuoxuan was one of the top 100 candidates, but failed to enter top 20 in the first round of 20/100 competition. Hence, she was put on the waitlist and joined the subsequent "Rotation Assessments", in which the waitlisted candidates stood a chance to enter top 20 by replacing some of the 20 formal trainees who performed relatively poorly in their weekly assessments. Zhuoxuan participated in the first and third Rotation Assessments, but did not manage to win a place in the top 20 in either of them. In the fifth Rotation Assessment on 4 June 2016, she finally succeeded in becoming one of the top 20s to get further trained in the Girls' Castle. Zhuoxuan joined the rock music group, and tried rock music for the first time. She performed "Eternal Summer" at the 6th Weekly Assessment of formal trainees on 10 June, but failed. At the Rotation Assessment on the next day (11 June), she sang "I Like You" and "Disparagement", but she was experiencing vocal cord damage from singing rock music in the previous few days, and thus could not deliver a decent performance, failing the assessment.
