Threads that bind is amazing. Love the setting, the atmosphere, the depiction of the relationship of the three sisters. It's one of my faves of the year.
You certainly chose the first volume of Jojo's bizarre adventure It's pretty confusing but the stories are divided into parts, and the parts into volumes. Part 1: Phantom Blood Part 2: Battle Tendency Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable Part 5: Golden Wind Part 6: Stone Ocean
and also you can find parts based on who's on the cover (I think) like Johnathon jostar is the person on the cover of the one you have which is the right one
So excited for you to read Alice in Borderland! Highly recommend the netflix live action show too. Its so good. I have been wanting to read Yona of the Dawn. I have up to 10 but I can't start it yet because I can't find volume 1.
You an Alexis should do a 24-58 hour sleep over read-athon. Gav you pick a book off your spooky TBR for Alexis to read and have her do the same. For you. Or another way to try this out is number books from one to whatever and the book to get picked is the book that has to be read .
I've heard nothing but good things about The wolf of Oren Yaro. And those RJ Barker books look fab! I still need to read the same Fairyloot books, but in the meantime they sure look pretty on my shelves 🤣
Quite a haul ! I’m always impressed by how much you’re able to get over the course of a few months lmao. As for the Jojo manga confusion, I get it, I’m a Jojo fan and it was very confusing the first time I got into it. As I’m sure others have explained, Jojo is split into parts, with its most recent part being part 8. Then you have the volumes within that part. So, essentially, you’ve got the right one ! Part 1 is the VERY beginning of the series and the catalyst for everything that happens after, so you’re fine ! Very excited to hear your thoughts on everything you’ve mentioned !!
Skellig is such a throwback! Read it in Year 7 I think and it was such a weird book😂 The Agatha Christie reprint is so annoying. Hopefully we can manage to complete our collections before they stop printing them🤞
I absolutely loved the Chronicles of the Bitch Queen!! It's one of my favorite series, like 10/10 can't wait to read them again. I hope you enjoy them!
I'm gonna try to get the broken binding version of the bone season. It is gorgeous. Also, the adult owlcrate book was masters of death so I feel like a patreon buddy read is necessary since I'm sure it is on many people's lists
24:39 I highly, highly recommend giving the tide child trilogy a read sometime if you get a chance. It was my favorite series that I read last year - fantastic story, wonderful characters, & an incredibly unique world. That looks like a lovely edition of it!
I'm in the middle of collecting yona and on vol 4. And to make sure you don't get a second volume again, make a List of the mangas you have and then write the volumes that you are missing. That what I do.
I hope you enjoy your books gav! I will be sending more hear and there 😉 your shout outs has put me in a extremely good mood 😊 thank you! Have fun in japan and thank you for your amazing videos!
Yes! Please be safe when you read No Longer Human. It's incredible and you can find videos here on TH-cam to learn more about Osamu Dazai's life (I did this after I read No Longer Human). It's an incredible novel but it's brutal and I took a breaks between chapters (I took a week to read it on purpose). Please tell me you have heard of the manga Old-Fashioned Cupcake! It's an older M/M slow burn romance. I adored it and you need something SWEET (like you!)
Yes that was a really great blog again. Made note of a few books. Reading food truck it's a manga so funny has recipes and protagonists that is hungry all the time and a older man who goes round in a food truck collecting ingredients to cook for said girl. Love it only 3 volumes .
Hi Gavin. I too picked up SUBCUTANEAN, version 30287. I thought each copy was unique. So I was surprised to hear you call out the same #. I went back and read the back of the book and it sounds like that we both got the same 'seeded (30287) copy.' I thought each book was unique and maybe that's my fault for not reading/understanding clearly ... 🤔 😅😊 Either way, I'm saving it for next month and can't wait to read, as well hear YOUR review. Thanks and take care!!
Oh heck yeah! Remember the manga I recommended, the Seeds of Anxiety? It was made by the same mangaka who did PTSD Radio. They're about the same in format
Oh boy, I remembered that I have two copies of Subcutanean. They're supposedly unique, made with seeds intended only for me. I should read them and then compare with your copy
Gavin, I hope you have an amazing time on your trip!!!! Do what you wanna do, don't dread the things you can't, enjoy living in the moment & make memories you'll hold with you forever!!❤❤❤ Sending love & positive vibes for you & everyone joining in on your journey!!!!
23:52 oh wild, I have the US paperbacks of this series and it’s called “chronicles of the bitch queen” I wonder why it’s not the same in UK 😂 why did they change it to wolf 🤣
you have the correct volume for jojos bizarre adventure! just as a warning though, at the end of that volume there is an interview from the creator looking back at the start of the series. he says a MASSIVE spoiler so please avoid reading that!! i am excited to see your thoughts on this series because it only gets crazier as it goes on (this year was it’s 36th anniversary!)
I have Silver Nitrate out from the library, because I want to read it, but I've wanted to see if I can get it with a silver cover ever since I started seeing special editions of it.
I'm excited because I am reading uzumaki this month!! I really want to read northranger too so I hope you like it. I enjoy sports anime and need to read the manga at some point. As an ex-basketball player, I'm very much looking forward to slam dunk. Ahh I have the lost whale now and will be reading it soon I hope. Finding bear was a surprise to me too. Jean Menzies
Agatha christie recommendations - see if you can guess another Miss Marple: A Murder Is Announced A Caribbean Mystery Murder At The Vicarage Nemesis A Pocketful of Rye The Mirror Crack'd And how about some non-Poirot and non-Marple ones - though in the BBC Marple series at least they made some of these a Marple story, made her an acquaintance and then a partner in the detectives from the book (having an old lady with connections to Scotland Yard on your side can be extremely useful - some find old ladies easy to talk to, and people never really notice them or never see them as much of a threat so they're not always careful around them): Endless Night By The Pricking Of My Thumbs Towards Zero The Pale Horse Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
Omg Sing Me to Sleep was SOOO good. Idk why I enjoyed it so much but I absolutely loved it. Let us know what you think of it Gav ❤ also just got off the Illumicrate and FairyLoot YA waitlists so from now on I will be constantly broke but at least I’ll be reading what everyone else is reading 😂
Wow. Good choices. Yona is great. Junji is fantastic. & I personally wouldn't go by the one piece live show. I would watch the real anime show. Then watch live. It was good but I wasn't fond of the luffy they choose. & I cannot wait to see your review of JoJo. Again very good choice. Is so good. I recommend the anime show as well. ❤
Idk how much would you enjoy Ancient Magus' bride, from what I've seen of you it doesnt seem to be to your taste. But I did like the first season of anime so its not bad at least. I definitely loved Yona, if you are already enjoying it then it gets better Looking forward to you reading Jojo I hope you get to read more of Berserk too, you should also give Vagabond a try, its by author of Slam Dunk and is based on novel- Musashi If you are preparing for October, I do recommend you watch the anime called- Mushishi, give a couple of episodes a try and see if its to your liking
21:59 Nice to see you collections Agatha Christie title but the real question is: “Have you read the Agatha Christie Graphic Novels?” #SlagathaChristie
Gavin is prepared for Spooky Season and Halloween is Gay Christmas so we’re all excited.
Love your background of books. I love being surrounded by books.
Happy to hear you are continuing Yona of the Dawn! The series only get better. :)
I love the decorations!😍
I'm also so curious about Zhara ❤ lots of these books are so pretty!

What's this? A book haul video just when I was thinking about getting some new books?! You must be psychic!
Can't wait to request many many books for my birthday next month hehe
The hardcover design for Illumicrate's edition of Zhara is stunning. I love it more than the dust jacket!
A signed Hunger Games!! Gavin, you're living my dream 😍 (and 15 y/o me would've been sooo jealous 🤣)
Yona of the Dawn is soooo amazing! I'm currently reading it myself and I'm OBSESSED! Enjoy your trip to Japan, it's well earned!
So excited for you to read Alice in Borderland! Highly recommend the netflix live action show too. Its so good.
I have been wanting to read Yona of the Dawn. I have up to 10 but I can't start it yet because I can't find volume 1.

Immortal Longings was so good! Gave me Squid Game / Hunger Games vibes👀
I really liked Tress of the Emerald Sea, kicking myself for not getting the kickstarter edition. Can’t wait to see the future vlog!
I absolutely loved the Chronicles of the Bitch Queen!! It's one of my favorite series, like 10/10 can't wait to read them again. I hope you enjoy them!
Yes! I love it when you come out with another video, hehe! Hope you are enjoying your time in Japan! I am so excited for you, Gavin!! WHOOP WHOOP!
16:42 I’m so happy you got this! It’s the Sapphic Saga of the Season.
So many books that I now wanna add to my TBR!
I'm gonna try to get the broken binding version of the bone season. It is gorgeous. Also, the adult owlcrate book was masters of death so I feel like a patreon buddy read is necessary since I'm sure it is on many people's lists
Patreon buddy read for Masters of Death sounds awesome!
I hope you had a blast in Japan! Have a safe trip home. ❤❤
24:39 I highly, highly recommend giving the tide child trilogy a read sometime if you get a chance. It was my favorite series that I read last year - fantastic story, wonderful characters, & an incredibly unique world. That looks like a lovely edition of it!
For Gavin, long haul is not just reserved for flights to Japan and thank goodness for that! 🔥
I'm in the middle of collecting yona and on vol 4. And to make sure you don't get a second volume again, make a List of the mangas you have and then write the volumes that you are missing. That what I do.
21:14 buying Brandon Sanderson books is the first step to reading them so I approve this message
Oh I wanted to preorder The Snow Girl!
I hope you enjoy your books gav! I will be sending more hear and there 😉
your shout outs has put me in a extremely good mood 😊 thank you!
Have fun in japan and thank you for your amazing videos!
Jojo's bizarre adventure is split into parts, that's why there are multiple volume 1, each part has its volume 1.

& your shirt is adorable. ❤
Love your hauls always add to my tbr 😂

Some of those middle grade especially the spooky ones looked cool!
Loved 'Our Wives Under the Sea!'
A nice good book haul video ^_^. Hope your enjoying your trip.
Need to read some Agatha Christie books this fall 🍁
I recommend her book Pale Horse for the spooky supernatural vibes
I feel so happy when Gavin gets a celebrity shoutout! 👏🏽
The book box books are beautiful. They are nice to have even in you never read them - lol

Agatha christie recommendations - see if you can guess another Miss Marple:
A Murder Is Announced
A Caribbean Mystery
Murder At The Vicarage

Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
Omg Sing Me to Sleep was SOOO good. Idk why I enjoyed it so much but I absolutely loved it. Let us know what you think of it Gav ❤ also just got off the Illumicrate and FairyLoot YA waitlists so from now on I will be constantly broke but at least I’ll be reading what everyone else is reading 😂
22:27 Have you seen the Hugh Laurie adaptation of ‘Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?’?
It’s so good!
Omg I forgot to read that novella by chloe gong
I need you to do Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie. The whole time I was reading it all I was wondering if you could figure it out
I can garantee the Ancient Magus Bride "Mahoutsukai no Yome" is something you are most likely going to like ❤
Omg is this jojo reference??😂 you'll love it
😂😂😂 'Im a superficial bitch that cant read small writing' - i mean same 😅😅
Wow!! Not even us, huh? That’s so damn sassy! Lol!!! Love it. Nobody can stop me either! Muhahahahah
Imagine knowing someone who knows THE Suzanne Collins! I am a reader because of her 🖤
1:14 The investment in Manga and Graphic Novels >>>>>>>>>>>
P.S. Omg just realised that you broke your 4 hour Video Essay record.

That's what she-

In your 5+ hours Junji Ito video, you said that you would do another video ranking all of your favorite Junji Ito’s stories. 😅
Do you have any books to recommend that feel like one piece?

I definitely loved Yona, if you are already enjoying it then it gets better
Looking forward to you reading Jojo
I hope you get to read more of Berserk too, you should also give Vagabond a try, its by author of Slam Dunk and is based on novel- Musashi
If you are preparing for October, I do recommend you watch the anime called- Mushishi, give a couple of episodes a try and see if its to your liking
i really want him to do a Jojo Halloween vlog or if he does a Halloween version of manga against one another
21:59 Nice to see you collections Agatha Christie title but the real question is: “Have you read the Agatha Christie Graphic Novels?” #SlagathaChristie
Gavin, has the pumpkin spice latte addiction restarted yet? :))
One Piece LA reactions pleaseee
Quote of the Day: “See? I’m not just a superficial b***h! I’m a superficial b***h who can’t read small writing.”
I don't think leaving the subscription boxes is a reasonable solution 😅
