navar kvesses på samme måte som vist rundt 4:56 i videoen, med en rundfil (motorsagfil) på innsiden av navaren. Det er da viktig at du roterer navaren mens du filer slik at du ikke lager et hakk noe sted. du kan også slipe over utsiden med en fin flatfil eller liten stein, det er da viktig at du ikke runder av den bakre skjærende eggen (4:44 i videoen)
thats cool Ive only seen the newer version of that with a screw lead thread on the end but I want to have a go at makeing some of these now . Is there a way to work out the hole diameter it will make before you start? Thanks for sharing

I note that you began the twist near the snail, whereas I have noticed that Sheffield artisans begin the twist near the shank.
I really like how that hardy tool doesn't move the slightest. calming.
yeah, makes forging easier as well. We wedged it in with a small woodshaving
