I feel the same and way. I was x studying my Chinese Hibiscus which I've already pruned, trying to decide on whether to rootprune or not. It IS quite rootbound but in a very large pot. I think I'll only dig away some roots at the top and replace with organic materials as close as I can to what he's suggested. I was really l looking forward to lots of blooms this year but after watching this video, I'm laughing at myself. I was doing some of the right things thank goodness our I wouldn't have a 5 year old plant. I didn't let it really go thru dormancy this winter. Ignorance. I'm hoping for a major improvement on its growth and flowering once I've amended it's soil as much as I can without repotting. I'm amazed to find a comprehensive video like this. It was just what I was looking for.

@@CITYGARDENING Thanks for a kind reply. Undoubtedly, I have shared my views with a true heart. You really deserve it. It is a very specific quality of hibiscus to keep on growing in a big pot without forming buds and flowers. Because it has tendency to occupy the whole space of the pot forming a bounding root ball with widening of the main stem, if planted in a pot bigger than required for the next level of repotting. Hence hibiscus gives more flowers if potted in a pot required for that particular level of growth. This is exclusively seen in plants bought from nurseries in small pots.

There might be fungal infections in root system. Repot the plant with fungicide treatment.

This is the right time to prune and repot hibiscus plant. You can do that if your plant is older.

5दिन पहले मैंने भी 2गुड़हल के पौधे लगाये जो लाल चिकनी मिट्टी में छोटी सी टोकरी में लगा था,उसे निकालकर लगाया है।
shade में रखे हैं।
Well drained potting soil बनाई है-epsum salt, neem khali भी डाला।
2 दिन बाद से ही उसके पत्ते पिले हो कर गिर रहे है।
कृपया समाधान बताये कैसे पौधे को बचाना है।

Repot the plant again to a just bigger pot compared to its original pot as I said in the video if you want a quick flowering.

Bahut Acha video hai sir mere Kuch plants par white flies ja Nahi rahain neem oil spray Karon to patte jal jate hain soap water spray Karon to phir aajate hain . Main chemical spray Nahi Karna chahti .
Use neem oil 3 to 5 ml per litre of water with a little soap, about 2ml only.

aj mene apne hibiscus ko repot kiya aur usme 4 banana peel and 2 mutthi vermicompost and 1 mutthi mustard powder apply kiya aur fully shade me rakh diya result kab tak milega aur kya mene palnt ko sahi fertilize kiya reply jaroor kare , Fully Explanned such a nice video thanks
I have already mentioned about fertilization of hibiscus in the video. Organic fertilizers are a bit slow, but is good for long term.
