Kate and William are getting more relaxed in public, even showing public displays of affection, which has been a huge taboo in the royal family in the past. Kate will likely be taking more solo tours, traveling without Prince William on her arm for more extended periods. Kate’s work with The Royal Foundation has become increasingly important to her. She is raising awareness for mental health in children in schools and supporting a healthy upbringing during the first five years of their lives. The duchess has been more open with the press, and even on a podcast, sharing her own very personal struggles with motherhood. In addition to all of that, she must charm the press. Kate has been glued to the Queen’s side, making sure to learn all she can before the inevitable time when Kate and William assume the throne. Nihaya Salih I found it ridiculous but I guess it’s a sign of how little is known in the US about the Monarchy. No British 30-something would have gone into a marriage with Prince Harry with the expectations MM had. She was away in Lala-land if she thought she could make any substantial difference to how things are structured and run. I think she realised the hard way that the Queen was likely the most tolerant of the 3 and that Prince Charles and Prince William would have put up with even less of her nonsense than the Queen did. There is a huge difference too between blood Royals and titles given through marriage. HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge is a blood Princess, so that title goes before her name. HRH Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is the way it is written for a position given courtesy of marriage. (Except now they’ve given up the HRH she’s just Meghan, Duchess of Sussex) Meghan isn’t a Princess in her own right, she’s just got the feminised version of her husbands birth title. Also, it’s interesting that they chose not to give Archie any title at all. I don’t know if he’ll be able to add it back when he’s older if he wants to or not, but to me that tells me Meghan doesn’t particularly care about any titles anyway! Royal History and protocol is a lot more complicated than what’s written on a birth certificate or used for convenience the way both Princes used Wales as their surnames for school and in the military.

Being an American myself I know that a great portion of us don't care at all for meghan markle.
Personally I can't believe the Royal Family even allowed that marriage to take place.
Meghan didn't go into it to become part of the Royal Family, she saw an opportunity & went for it. Then had the nerve to try and disrupt traditions that have been in place for centuries! That girl is an embarrassment on so many levels!
Kate on the other hand has always set a wonderful example & has done an excellent job with balancing the changing times & still holding true to the traditions of what it means to be a member of the British Royal Family & future Queen.

Kate has always been sincere, genuine and she demonstrates empathy for others. Kate always dresses appropriatelyand her presentation is elegant and immaculate. Kate always looks good and her kindness towards others is obvious. I really admire some of her outfits which feature lace, particulaly English lace.
Harry's wife is narccicistic and as such she fails in so many ways that it is a "no contest" outcome to try to compare the two. the best example of her lack of attention to detail is when Harry's wife attended a function with the shop tag still evident and still attached to the back of the outfit.

Her later 'documentary' is nothing but one falsehood after another regarding her childhood, her schooling, has humanitarian work and any other fabrication she could come up with. As long as she must be in the USA, I'm glad she chose Hollywood.

What is this “like Meghan” tripe. Kate has always been doing this, even before MM entered the scene. It's easy to "broke with tradition" anyone can do it you don't need any special attributes. It's significantly hardest and more important to respect and keep the tradition.

No she is not, HRH George of Cambridge still needs his parents by his side. Being queen consort right now will mean putting a walls between both parties as their roles will change. That’s what happened to Charles of Edinburgh ( Prince Charles right now) when he was just 4 yrs old.
Times have changed since Charles was a child. Diana started by taking charge of her children's care and taking them on trips as a family. William and Catherine have done the same.
Anne and Charles did not have that, they did not accompany their parents on trips. They were sent off to private schools early on. William and Catherine are keeping their children close and will probably continue to be closely involved in their children's education. The three will probably get more equal an education than past generations. William and his cousins went on to University but, Harry didn't. Even the Queen got herself a tutor since she was not tought World history, economics or the subjects the Prime Ministers would talk to her about.
They will continue to have a strong bond with their children.

Kate since 2011 has been part of the royal family as the wife of the 2nd in line to the throne, her work experience in the royal family have been important and will definitely be important because she will be Queen Consort in the future. Where was Meganut in 2011? She married Trevor in 2011. Got a new job in Suits by help from Trevor.
I think when the time comes Kate will be ready, William too for that matter. Whether it’s tomorrow or 20 years from now, I believe they’ll be able to step up and perform when duty calls.

Let’s face it before Meghan and Harry I’ve never even seen any affection between Kate and William apart from their wedding day. Harry and meghans affection for one another is amazing. When they go out as a couple there’s not competition style wise. With their absence Kate and William have to keep that same energy up and step their game up.
