I think the best lore overview is "history of the honkai universe" by homu labs. It's actually pretty spoiler free so it's a great video to watch if you actually plan on playing the game. To which on that note if you plan on playing HI3, then avoid watching the animated shorts. As they are actually part of the main story unlike the star rail ones and watching them with context makes them 10x better. But If you don't plan on playing, then you can still watch them as they are still great. Finally if you do plan on playing, I highly recommend following the hoyo stans story guide. Since HI3 has a lot of side content such as the Manga which is actually extremely important to the plot. Especially in the early and late game. Without the side content, the story is still good, but there will be a lot of characters and plot important items that come out of nowhere as they were introduced in the Manga. For example welt. His entire backstory is in the Manga and he just kinda shows up ingame which can be confusing at first.
I'm still pondering If I'll play or not. There's a gacha that'll release that I'm quite interested. I already play HSR and Wuwa and got interested in ZZZ because of the videos I'm watching. With the new one releasing, adding HI3 would be 5 gachas. I don't have a wallet for that D: I'll watch the spoiler free video first and think about it.
@@Arzeras well one thing about HI3, is that you don't actually have to spend anything unless you plan on doing abyss (which is harder than both genshin's abyss, and HSR's forgotten hall as it's leader board pvp) After about chapter 5 in the main story you can only use story characters. Not your own. Kinda like how star rail gives you a story character for some parts, but here they give you a full team for the entire story. Many people (like me) just play HI3 for the story and ignore most of the gacha stuff because I can't use it in the story anyways.

To put in contexto, Fu Hua did the 2 inch punch to Venus goddess, sending her back to the planet and making a nuclear explotion at the same time. So shes above emmanator lvl and even could be able to fight Aeons hand to hand combate. I think shes even older than some Aeons. @@Arzeras She lived over 50000 years, lived through many eras and played in many roles, her combat ability is on par against some of the emanators, and surely better than some, In HI3, she is the master of Sushang, a fully grown up version with the same power level as Jing Yuan or even stronger.
@@ArzerasDefinitely unquantifiable for now, especially if March is still not even at her peak, but Fu Hua in game at her Garuda Battlesuit (Full Power Mode) is literally immortal. You cannot die in-game just like her lore. She cannot age at all as well due to her MANTIS Honkai Genes (Garuda) resetting her body to its default state. The main character Kiana is even more ridiculous especially the current one. She's literally reached Aeon level or nearing it, if I remember correctly she literally sniped a godlike being from the moon to the edge of the solar system that is comparable to 1% of her power which was powerful enough to bend reality and be so strong it needed Kiana to intervene. Said being also dominated Fu Hua at the beginning of their fight before Fu Hua went all out.
The characters you are thinking that seem have the same name/face in hi3 are the expies of said characters. The ones shown in this trailers that have expies in HSR are; Bronya Zaychik (Bronya Rand. Bronya in HSR is specifically design-wise based on Herrscher of Reason variant of her.) Himeko Murata (Himeko) Raiden Mei (Acheron/Raiden Bosenmori Mei) Kafka (She existed as a Stigmata set in Hi3) Silver Wolf (albeit she is an expy of Bronie.. who'm is basically an alternate version of Bronya) Otto (Luocha, whom happen to show up a few mins later lmao) Seele Vollerie (Seele, she doesn't keep her last name nor get a new one like Bronya did. Also, this particular Seele is also Herrscher of Rebirth; basically she has control over life and death, it's originally named as Herrscher of Death but she thought it was too "edgy" or "creepy") Nuwa/Dan Zhu (Lingsha) Note that Welt is not an expy because he is Literally Welt from Hi3... he just hopped onto the train and now he's here... There are other expies ofcourse, just not listed because they aren't in this particular trailer. Aside from those, we are also getting other expies based on snipets of Dialog, lore, and just being mentioned in HSR. Namely; Fu Hua (Marshal Hua, unconfirmed when tho) Yae Sakura (Very Unknown when and what)
The only information I actually knew was about Welt and Acheron, the rest I more or less started to understand thanks to the comments on this video (we've been discussing things here like gentlemens for hours xD). Fu Hua I know who it is (it's shown in the trailer), but who is this Yae Sakura? Also, I more or less understood what is a Herrscher, but what is a Stigmata (Kafka, in this case). @@ArzerasIm not sure how to explain but stigmatas are supposedly something that gives power to those who have them. Yae Sakura is one of those stigmata, shes infused in one of the characters not named in the video, Theresa appearing alongside Qingque. Kafka as a stigmata isnt canon tho, i dont think. But she might've exist as a real person in HI3 world, probably anti entropy side.

@@Arzeras Yae Sakura is the pink haired girl with "Bunny" ears. Stigmatas are basically Hi3's equivalent of the relic sets for HSR. But in terms of what they actually are; basically memories of past historical figures albeit genderbent to be female if male originally.(at least if they are real historical figures.) Kafka is also an example of a historical figure who was male but is now female for Hi3's purposes. (which carried over to HSR, hilariously). Though recently, they are instead experiences of characters after they've reached their peak or final forms. For example, Herrscher of Rebirth Seele's signature stigmata set is literally just Herself with her past experiences and memories of what she's been through. Almost every other character who has achieved their final forms in the story has this theme. Fun fact: Rappa herself (recently revealed character said to debut next patch after Lingsha) was also a stigmata set who happen to be Yae Sakura's signature stigmata set. Most people points to this fact as proof that "Yae Sakura is coming in HSR soon", which I find exciting myself.
btw about the march 7 vs Fu Hua thing it's not that they are disrespecting march it's actually the opposite, if they didn't do the hungry fu hua or smth like that. Fu Hua is let's just say the strongest at least for me just for the reason of experience at least without the herscher powers even with that she can hold her ground,
The actual reason is that March is actually too strong, that's why they changed to sparkle later, so Fu Hua didn't get humiliated in battle (contains high levels of irony xD)
@@ArzerasNO. Please they're essential to the story don't react to them. I'd heavily reccomend you to actually play the game than watch all of them at once since they're not gonna be as impactful compared to if you play the game, and then watch it in-game.

The point of this is that they were talking about what the crossover will be, what possible story will the event be about. The first ones were just them making random scenarios that could fit the crossover plan, which are all not what the crossover will be about. My guess for what the last thing is about is that it is Sparkle at Final Lesson, changing that point of the story with her involved.
Void Archives is Welt's companion who also joined the Astral Express before leaving to pursue his own personal mission. It's possible we will meet him in future HSR storyline. And yes, he is not Luocha, but they share similar appearances if you took off his mask. If you played Luocha's companion quest, you will remember Welt had his flashback scene. Void and Welt used to be enemies you could say, but they're 'buddies' now. (Fun fact: VoidWelt is Welt's most popular ship in Honkai fandom)

So to explain (not all because would be too long), in the Honkaiverse this is a multiverse that its controled by the Imaginary tree and each branch represent a universe, Honkai Impact and Honkai Star Rail exist in the same universe and it contain many solar sistems and planets, sometimes some planets have people that follow similar apearence and fate like Acheron said to Welt, Honkai Impact 3rd is based in our solar sistem where the Honkai alredy destroyed all the other planets civilization leaving only earth, Welt is from Honkai Impact 3rd and he along Void Archives (the first Divine Key like the first sword that Acheron names in her myriad celestia trailer, and uses a solium body from Otto Apocalypse the paralel to Luocha) exit the solar sistem and are found by Himeko form HSR, Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik are the protagonist but Kiana is the main one, Fu Hua is like the fourth one but acts more like a support character, they studied in St Freya academy for Valkyries and all of them are herrschers except Fu Hua (its complicated to explain because Fu Hua is a Mantis and there is Senti who is a herrscher born from her dead body after was repaired), so yeah Acheron is a paralel to Raiden Mei but for her solar sistem the supposed sun was in reality a black hole so even after all she suffered against the Kami (Honkai) her world was consumed by it so its like the bad end for her, each one of the 3 main from HI3rd have multiple herrscher stages, Kiana is the herrscher of the void at the start but she became the Herrscher of Finality and after that she became the Honkai good (or just the moon goodess), Mei was the herrscher of thunder and became the Herrscher of Origin, Bronia was the sucessor of Welt and became the Herrscher of Reason and after she became the True Herrscher of Reason (Herrscher of Truth), Fu Hua is a Mantis and has Honkai beast genes from one named Garuda with regenerative and fire powers like a Phoenix so she is almost true inmortal, there is so much to explain so I will leave it there because I have work.
I think I understood the idea at least, but with answers come more questions: You said both HSR and HI3 share the same universe, just different solar systems. Is it possible that one day, the astral express comes to the Earth where HI3 happens? You also said that Kiana became the Herrscher of Finality. Is that something like an Aeon, an Emanator or none of them? It is implied by Jade, if my memory serves me right, that the Stellaron Hunters follow the path of Finality. Don't know if that makes sense with anything, but as I said in the video, when one doesn't know anything, they speculate xD. Thanks for the info. :D

So we already know in CN servers that Sparkle visits the Honkai Impact world and even made Vita (the most recent character to be playable) to join the Masked Fools, and all that while a Memokepeer is trying to get the memories from Kiana and she rejects it, then the mekokepeer questions how this solar sistem is not under the influence of the Aeons or how not even the Akivili found it, and what power or being is hidding it questioning if it could be an Aeon or something even higher, but until came out we will just speculate

@@Arzeras hsr has dialogues w/ welt that no one is aware of the planet earth, and on hi3s side there ARE reasons the trailblaze has never seen it, or any of the greater universe(like aeons) for that matter. in the imaginary tree; the metaphorical "leaves" follow the MWI theory where its many worlds/dimensions in one universe. some worlds can be a planet, some can be a solar system etc etc. in BOTH hsr and hi3 they mention an imaginary barrier that seperates them, and only things like the trailblazes' silver rails can traverse them, but since nobodies heard of welts home its safe too say, there is not YET a way too go earth from the express. as for what the herrscher of finality is in the context of hsr? we dont know yet, we're getting more hints lately but as of this comment its still too early too say how everything will fall into place but the sky is getting clearer and i think we'll learn soon

@@ArzerasThe Flamechasers are a group of genetically modified soldiers called Mantis created to fight Herrschers. Basically, they are powerful people with the genes of Honkai beasts and OP weapons created to be able 1v1 a Herrscher.
HSR and HI3rd share the same universe, so their lore and cosmology are connected. Earth is in a part of the universe that is hidden from view from the Aeons, exactly the same way Amoreus is, some ppl are even speculating they refer to the same planet. Hoyo also tends to reuse certain characters. Acheron and Raiden Shogun are exported charas (Expys) of Raiden Mei from HI3rd and GGZ. Same for Himeko. Bronya Rand and Silver wolf from HSR are expys of Bronya Zaychik from HI3rd and GGZ Lingsha is an expy of Nuwa, again from HI3rd Marshall Hua in HSR is gonna be an expy of Fu Hua (btw, she is really strong, basically everyone on the express combined rn couldnt take her, barring any third party influence from an aeon). Luocha is an expy of Otto Apocalypse, who Void archives copied the appearance of, hence they look similar. The only chara who is not an expy and is the exact same person, is Welt, who wants to go home to Earth (HI3rd)

@@Arzeras the hidden from Aeon's view thing was also only recently added in, so its actually pretty likely that HI3rd amd HSR will start intertwining more from here on. Imo that was always bound to happen, otherwise there would be no reason to put Welt in there

@@Arzeras Yeah HI3rd knowledge enhances HSR a lot, there are a lot of easter eggs scattered around: the shards of Himeko's (HI3rd) sword, Welt's reaction to Luocha, Himeko's (HSR) dreams during Sundays questions and the song that plays when picking the right options when saying bye to acheron, the songs when acheron speaks to tiernan and theres even one in the small cutscene of acheron cutting the dream etc. And there is sure to be a lot more. Since the 2 games are connected and HSR is technically a sequel to HI3rd, anyone interested in the lore and cosmology of HSR should at least check out some lore vids of charas and events in HI3rd. In fact if anyone is truly a fan of HSR's lore and cosmology, there should be no reason not to check out HI3rd since they are set in the same universe. For example the imaginary tree is mentioned in HSR but nothing of the Sea of Quanta is mentioned. Itll also really help whenever a huge HI3rd related thing is dropped again. You mean one of the five or one out of those five? Because literally beside Himeko, any final form of Kiana, Mei, Bronya or Fu hua can solo the entire express team unless Welt has his core back.

So the Herrschers are basically the Honkai equalvilent of Aeons. They are gods and godlike entities that all gain their power from Finality, which is basically the God of gods in Hi3 lore.

Some HSR players hate Honkai Impact and consider it as the inferior one. Things they consider inferior about Honkai Impact (allegedly): - Having an actual main character and not a self-insert. - Having consequences drive the story. - Story beats actually being depressing at times - Being reminded from time to time that actions have consequences - Having story writers that give a shit - Not using voice actors to promote the game or characters - Existing, despite the fact that without it, they wouldn't be having Genshin (originally supposed to be Honkai 4, and whose name came from the Honkai Impact CN community) OR HSR. - The fact that the main character for Honkai Impact is known as "Mihoyo's Daughter" - The amount of characters that are canonically lesbian - Dawei (Mihoyo's CEO) still continuing to give a shit about Honkai Impact
I can understand people disliking consequences in a story. Would that make me stop playing the game? Probably not, if the game is good, that's the story the writers want to tell, but some people just want everything to be ok at the end of the day. About the low budget (voice actors, not enough attention from Mihoyo, etc), maybe the game doesn't have a large amount of players anymore to self sustain. About the characters being lesbian, I tought China didn't allow homossexuality. I've read a manwha (china manga) years ago that had 2 lesbians and some chapters later they had to become just friends because of China. Maybe with Sparkle and all the HSR characters collab, more players will start playing HI3, leading to better updates, who knows? :D
I like and play honkai impact but its story isnt perfect and some of the critsism are fair i for one hate hate some of the arcs and think Elysian realm was a waste of time that ruined Meis character because writers wanted to write kiana off so he can ship his Elysia x Mei ship bt other people see it as a masterpiece i think its a dumb ntr fest. also the finale arc dragons on to long and has to many metaphors. Chracters not giving a shit that they traumatized eachother or selectivily forgetting the pain the caused eachother. there is all sort of dumb shit. Da wei also clearly dosnt give a fuck and only took intrest when Sparkle appeard, other then that ouer honkai impact budget was stolen by other games just look at all animatics honka and ZZZ are getting. we have no where near as cool animations as that since part 1.5.

Honkai Impact was extremely popular in China, Japan, and SEA (which is strange considering 80% of the cast being European, and 65% of that being Russian, and one Estonian representation, for a country most people don't know is real, being Seele). It's what put them on the map as a game company. Genshin was what gave Mihoyo mainstream appeal. Check out any of their character previews and you will notice a massive difference when the devs are talking. They talk about character concepts, design philosophies, etc. They tend to tell jokes sometimes. Things you don't get to hear whenever they use the voice actors to promote. As for the lesbian thing, they don't. Mihoyo used to be very blatant about how gay their characters were. As Honkai Impact got big, they got eyes (the government) on them....which prompted them to tiptoe around the ban through a lot of "implications". Hence why some will say that none of the characters are lesbian because no one will outright say so.

Heck newest chapter was vary blatant about its lesbian ships. They just cant say that they are lesbians or together but when they say stuff like "you are the msot important thing to me in this world" and "you are all the beauty in this world that i protect" and while having litteral wedding ring or dresses with eachother its very blantant some characters even kissed or said the world love iin contect to eachother altought the kiss bettwen seele and bronya was later removed, they are still even in hsr running with that ship pandering. There is also just allot of really susy cgs where the writers knew what they were doing like the recent sparkle with another charcter holding hands and being close lol
@@lop90ful1 I don't remember the Elysian Realm being written like that, and I remember the entire fucking thing. That's just you thinking like that, not Shaoji. The finale did have flaws and some holes, namely the "can we stop with the pseudo-philosophy and quantum physics lessons" justification because they have to explain everything about the phenomena that's happening. It suffers when it's trying to be deep when it shouldn't. I do agree that Honkai Impact has taken a step back due to its contemporaries having more appeal, and I do wish it would come and take back center stage in the near future, not just with the whole collab thing. Hopefully, with an anime adaptation of maybe Second Eruption or Alien Space, that would probably drive interest back into the game. Also, it needs to be in the Hoyo Launcher. I don't want to download it separately.

I'm from the new wave of players who started on Star Rail (some started on ZZZ). The only reason I haven't searched anything about HI3 yet, was in case I decided to play.

Honkai impact has mutiple main characters but Kiana is the main big one for the whole series from even before honkai. This is also non canon event because the timeline would not make sense with hsr being way in the future. The joke with Fu hua and march is the Fuhua is super op like giga op being able to punch godly beings, she is pretty much one punch man of the honkai verse also super old. Sparkle and some Hsr already appeard in the cn update of the main story. sparkle will also be playable character. It makes zero sense in the timeline of events but its sparkle so
I got more or less the idea of Fu Hua being strong, but not that strong. Fu Hua vs. Acheron would be more doable or even Acheron would have no chance? Even if I don't play the game, I want to understand a bit more, I feel a lot of context and jokes are lost in HSR if you haven't played HI3. Thanks for the info :D
@@Arzeras in the Honkai Impact timeline Welt go to HSR around the year 2029, so some years after that as he is still somewhere his alleged age, Honkai Impact uses the earth calendar but Honkai Star Rail uses amber eras

Until you get to the Captainverse, which was a separate story that ran alongside the main story, and only told via limited events (the story has ended). @@ArzerasDefinitely unquantifiable for now, especially if March is still not even at her peak, but Fu Hua in game at her Garuda Battlesuit (Full Power Mode) is literally immortal. You cannot die in-game just like her lore.
She cannot age at all as well due to her MANTIS Honkai Genes (Garuda) resetting her body to its default state.
The main character Kiana is even more ridiculous especially the current one. She's literally reached Aeon level or nearing it, if I remember correctly she literally sniped a godlike being from the moon to the edge of the solar system that is comparable to 1% of her power which was powerful enough to bend reality and be so strong it needed Kiana to intervene.
Said being also dominated Fu Hua at the beginning of their fight before Fu Hua went all out.
The characters you are thinking that seem have the same name/face in hi3 are the expies of said characters.
The ones shown in this trailers that have expies in HSR are;

Yae Sakura is one of those stigmata, shes infused in one of the characters not named in the video, Theresa appearing alongside Qingque. Kafka as a stigmata isnt canon tho, i dont think. But she might've exist as a real person in HI3 world, probably anti entropy side.

Stigmatas are basically Hi3's equivalent of the relic sets for HSR.
But in terms of what they actually are; basically memories of past historical figures albeit genderbent to be female if male originally.(at least if they are real historical figures.) Kafka is also an example of a historical figure who was male but is now female for Hi3's purposes. (which carried over to HSR, hilariously).
Though recently, they are instead experiences of characters after they've reached their peak or final forms. For example, Herrscher of Rebirth Seele's signature stigmata set is literally just Herself with her past experiences and memories of what she's been through. Almost every other character who has achieved their final forms in the story has this theme.
Fun fact: Rappa herself (recently revealed character said to debut next patch after Lingsha) was also a stigmata set who happen to be Yae Sakura's signature stigmata set. Most people points to this fact as proof that "Yae Sakura is coming in HSR soon", which I find exciting myself.
btw about the march 7 vs Fu Hua thing it's not that they are disrespecting march it's actually the opposite, if they didn't do the hungry fu hua or smth like that. Fu Hua is let's just say the strongest at least for me just for the reason of experience at least without the herscher powers even with that she can hold her ground,
The actual reason is that March is actually too strong, that's why they changed to sparkle later, so Fu Hua didn't get humiliated in battle (contains high levels of irony xD)

@@ArzerasNO. Please they're essential to the story don't react to them. I'd heavily reccomend you to actually play the game than watch all of them at once since they're not gonna be as impactful compared to if you play the game, and then watch it in-game.

The point of this is that they were talking about what the crossover will be, what possible story will the event be about.
The first ones were just them making random scenarios that could fit the crossover plan, which are all not what the crossover will be about.
My guess for what the last thing is about is that it is Sparkle at Final Lesson, changing that point of the story with her involved.

Void Archives is Welt's companion who also joined the Astral Express before leaving to pursue his own personal mission. It's possible we will meet him in future HSR storyline.
And yes, he is not Luocha, but they share similar appearances if you took off his mask. If you played Luocha's companion quest, you will remember Welt had his flashback scene.
Void and Welt used to be enemies you could say, but they're 'buddies' now.

So to explain (not all because would be too long), in the Honkaiverse this is a multiverse that its controled by the Imaginary tree and each branch represent a universe, Honkai Impact and Honkai Star Rail exist in the same universe and it contain many solar sistems and planets, sometimes some planets have people that follow similar apearence and fate like Acheron said to Welt, Honkai Impact 3rd is based in our solar sistem where the Honkai alredy destroyed all the other planets civilization leaving only earth, Welt is from Honkai Impact 3rd and he along Void Archives (the first Divine Key like the first sword that Acheron names in her myriad celestia trailer, and uses a solium body from Otto Apocalypse the paralel to Luocha) exit the solar sistem and are found by Himeko form HSR, Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik are the protagonist but Kiana is the main one, Fu Hua is like the fourth one but acts more like a support character, they studied in St Freya academy for Valkyries and all of them are herrschers except Fu Hua (its complicated to explain because Fu Hua is a Mantis and there is Senti who is a herrscher born from her dead body after was repaired), so yeah Acheron is a paralel to Raiden Mei but for her solar sistem the supposed sun was in reality a black hole so even after all she suffered against the Kami (Honkai) her world was consumed by it so its like the bad end for her, each one of the 3 main from HI3rd have multiple herrscher stages, Kiana is the herrscher of the void at the start but she became the Herrscher of Finality and after that she became the Honkai good (or just the moon goodess), Mei was the herrscher of thunder and became the Herrscher of Origin, Bronia was the sucessor of Welt and became the Herrscher of Reason and after she became the True Herrscher of Reason (Herrscher of Truth), Fu Hua is a Mantis and has Honkai beast genes from one named Garuda with regenerative and fire powers like a Phoenix so she is almost true inmortal, there is so much to explain so I will leave it there because I have work.
I think I understood the idea at least, but with answers come more questions:
You said both HSR and HI3 share the same universe, just different solar systems. Is it possible that one day, the astral express comes to the Earth where HI3 happens?
You also said that Kiana became the Herrscher of Finality. Is that something like an Aeon, an Emanator or none of them? It is implied by Jade, if my memory serves me right, that the Stellaron Hunters follow the path of Finality. Don't know if that makes sense with anything, but as I said in the video, when one doesn't know anything, they speculate xD.

So we already know in CN servers that Sparkle visits the Honkai Impact world and even made Vita (the most recent character to be playable) to join the Masked Fools, and all that while a Memokepeer is trying to get the memories from Kiana and she rejects it, then the mekokepeer questions how this solar sistem is not under the influence of the Aeons or how not even the Akivili found it, and what power or being is hidding it questioning if it could be an Aeon or something even higher, but until came out we will just speculate

@@Arzeras hsr has dialogues w/ welt that no one is aware of the planet earth, and on hi3s side there ARE reasons the trailblaze has never seen it, or any of the greater universe(like aeons) for that matter. in the imaginary tree; the metaphorical "leaves" follow the MWI theory where its many worlds/dimensions in one universe. some worlds can be a planet, some can be a solar system etc etc. in BOTH hsr and hi3 they mention an imaginary barrier that seperates them, and only things like the trailblazes' silver rails can traverse them, but since nobodies heard of welts home its safe too say, there is not YET a way too go earth from the express.
as for what the herrscher of finality is in the context of hsr? we dont know yet, we're getting more hints lately but as of this comment its still too early too say how everything will fall into place but the sky is getting clearer and i think we'll learn soon

HSR and HI3rd share the same universe, so their lore and cosmology are connected. Earth is in a part of the universe that is hidden from view from the Aeons, exactly the same way Amoreus is, some ppl are even speculating they refer to the same planet.
Hoyo also tends to reuse certain characters. Acheron and Raiden Shogun are exported charas (Expys) of Raiden Mei from HI3rd and GGZ.
Same for Himeko.
Bronya Rand and Silver wolf from HSR are expys of Bronya Zaychik from HI3rd and GGZ
Lingsha is an expy of Nuwa, again from HI3rd
Marshall Hua in HSR is gonna be an expy of Fu Hua (btw, she is really strong, basically everyone on the express combined rn couldnt take her, barring any third party influence from an aeon).
Luocha is an expy of Otto Apocalypse, who Void archives copied the appearance of, hence they look similar.
The only chara who is not an expy and is the exact same person, is Welt, who wants to go home to Earth (HI3rd)

It was really frustrating the encounter of Acheron and Welt for me, because I didn't know anything. I knew it was something to with HI3, but that's it.
@@Arzeras Yeah HI3rd knowledge enhances HSR a lot, there are a lot of easter eggs scattered around: the shards of Himeko's (HI3rd) sword, Welt's reaction to Luocha, Himeko's (HSR) dreams during Sundays questions and the song that plays when picking the right options when saying bye to acheron, the songs when acheron speaks to tiernan and theres even one in the small cutscene of acheron cutting the dream etc.
And there is sure to be a lot more. Since the 2 games are connected and HSR is technically a sequel to HI3rd, anyone interested in the lore and cosmology of HSR should at least check out some lore vids of charas and events in HI3rd. In fact if anyone is truly a fan of HSR's lore and cosmology, there should be no reason not to check out HI3rd since they are set in the same universe. For example the imaginary tree is mentioned in HSR but nothing of the Sea of Quanta is mentioned. Itll also really help whenever a huge HI3rd related thing is dropped again. Homulabs has pretty good vids about these stuff
in the 1v1 part, the hi3rd characters are also not in their final form, otherwise one of them could literally take on the entire astral express crew

Some HSR players hate Honkai Impact and consider it as the inferior one.
Things they consider inferior about Honkai Impact (allegedly):
- Having an actual main character and not a self-insert.
- Having consequences drive the story.
- Story beats actually being depressing at times
- Being reminded from time to time that actions have consequences
- Having story writers that give a shit
- Not using voice actors to promote the game or characters
- Existing, despite the fact that without it, they wouldn't be having Genshin (originally supposed to be Honkai 4, and whose name came from the Honkai Impact CN community) OR HSR.
- The fact that the main character for Honkai Impact is known as "Mihoyo's Daughter"
- The amount of characters that are canonically lesbian
- Dawei (Mihoyo's CEO) still continuing to give a shit about Honkai Impact
I can understand people disliking consequences in a story. Would that make me stop playing the game? Probably not, if the game is good, that's the story the writers want to tell, but some people just want everything to be ok at the end of the day.
About the low budget (voice actors, not enough attention from Mihoyo, etc), maybe the game doesn't have a large amount of players anymore to self sustain.
About the characters being lesbian, I tought China didn't allow homossexuality. I've read a manwha (china manga) years ago that had 2 lesbians and some chapters later they had to become just friends because of China.
Maybe with Sparkle and all the HSR characters collab, more players will start playing HI3, leading to better updates, who knows? :D
I like and play honkai impact but its story isnt perfect and some of the critsism are fair i for one hate hate some of the arcs and think Elysian realm was a waste of time that ruined Meis character because writers wanted to write kiana off so he can ship his Elysia x Mei ship bt other people see it as a masterpiece i think its a dumb ntr fest. also the finale arc dragons on to long and has to many metaphors. Chracters not giving a shit that they traumatized eachother or selectivily forgetting the pain the caused eachother. there is all sort of dumb shit.
Da wei also clearly dosnt give a fuck and only took intrest when Sparkle appeard, other then that ouer honkai impact budget was stolen by other games just look at all animatics honka and ZZZ are getting. we have no where near as cool animations as that since part 1.5.
@@Arzeras It's not low budget. Honkai Impact was extremely popular in China, Japan, and SEA (which is strange considering 80% of the cast being European, and 65% of that being Russian, and one Estonian representation, for a country most people don't know is real, being Seele). It's what put them on the map as a game company. Genshin was what gave Mihoyo mainstream appeal.
Check out any of their character previews and you will notice a massive difference when the devs are talking. They talk about character concepts, design philosophies, etc. They tend to tell jokes sometimes. Things you don't get to hear whenever they use the voice actors to promote.
As for the lesbian thing, they don't. Mihoyo used to be very blatant about how gay their characters were. As Honkai Impact got big, they got eyes (the government) on them....which prompted them to tiptoe around the ban through a lot of "implications". Hence why some will say that none of the characters are lesbian because no one will outright say so.
@@Arzeras Its very clear they are lesbians in story and other material but they have to keep it as "just really REALLY close freinds" even when they are litterly firting. Heck newest chapter was vary blatant about its lesbian ships.
They just cant say that they are lesbians or together but when they say stuff like "you are the msot important thing to me in this world" and "you are all the beauty in this world that i protect" and while having litteral wedding ring or dresses with eachother its very blantant some characters even kissed or said the world love iin contect to eachother altought the kiss bettwen seele and bronya was later removed, they are still even in hsr running with that ship pandering.
There is also just allot of really susy cgs where the writers knew what they were doing like the recent sparkle with another charcter holding hands and being close lol

The finale did have flaws and some holes, namely the "can we stop with the pseudo-philosophy and quantum physics lessons" justification because they have to explain everything about the phenomena that's happening. It suffers when it's trying to be deep when it shouldn't.
I do agree that Honkai Impact has taken a step back due to its contemporaries having more appeal, and I do wish it would come and take back center stage in the near future, not just with the whole collab thing. Hopefully, with an anime adaptation of maybe Second Eruption or Alien Space, that would probably drive interest back into the game. Also, it needs to be in the Hoyo Launcher. I don't want to download it separately.

Honkai impact has mutiple main characters but Kiana is the main big one for the whole series from even before honkai. This is also non canon event because the timeline would not make sense with hsr being way in the future.

Until you get to the Captainverse, which was a separate story that ran alongside the main story, and only told via limited events (the story has ended). The simplest way I can describe the Captainverse is "Proto-HSR".
