Its great to hear this side of y'all instead of the "character" side. I find the genuine side so much more interesting even if the main channel is very entertaining. Also, as you said at the end of the day it's a business. Sometimes the viewers with an outside perspective assume there's personal drama involved, which is probably why some people say you burn bridges, but really have no idea what's actually going on behind the scenes.

These regular at home vlogs are a nice transition from seeing you guys work everyday and doing car stuff to seeing you guys spend time with the family and showing a regular routine we never see. Agreed. Some of my favorite recent videos were with Dean and the crew. It’s kind of how I feel about certain musical artists. I enjoy them on their own but sometimes they need a few guest artists to keep things interesting.

How long have you been a subscriber for? Around what number was their sub count when you joined? Just curious that's all its interesting to see where others started at and the growth they have seen from that point. I roughly have a good idea where they were at by the rough sub count. I joined dde when damon was under 100k subs.
Everything aside , because of the race team we got to know alot about the technical stuff about cars and what happens behind all those builds and mechanical stuff etc. Assembling a crew for the DDE shop might match to what race team brought to the channel.

You two are awesome, first Dave needs more sun on the dome. Don't ever stop keeping your eyes on the prize,and your dreams. Some times relationship turn toxic,or like you said start going in two different directions. Purge the toxic one's,and the others sometimes you just need to walk away. I needed that “mushy” moment… I haven’t seen my kids in 2 years because of CoVid and my mothers passing… I just had them with me for 2 weeks straight and I dropped them off at the airport yesterday and I don’t know when I’ll see them again. You know how some people, no matter how hard they work, no matter how hard they try… they never “make it”. That’s me. 42 years old and I finally realized that, yes, I work hard, yes, I work smart, yes, I’ve never given up…. But I’ll never be the successful man some people are just born into, let alone worked hard to achieve. So… I really don’t know when I’ll see them again. I needed to hear than, Damon. Worst part is that they are 22/16/15 so they don’t want to spend time with their old man now anyway. Damon is right… it goes too fast… enjoy every minute

@@Mpayne1472 No doubt, everyone is in their own unique struggle… after not seeing the kiddos for 2 years… and not knowing when I’ll see em again… and I do count my blessings for sure… seeing Damon’s mushy moment kinda hit hard, so it was more for context and empathy with Damon. He goes weeks at a time without seeing his kids, and now that the oldest girls are out of the house he might go months without seeing them. And… yeah… I do own a home… but the only reason is because moms will had a stipulation that I could live here for as long as I want… the property tax is high, but with my income and my wife being sick with autoimmune the fact is there isn’t a room in America I could afford to rent. That’s one blessing I count every day… but it’s hard that it took losing my mom to have this blessing. Frankly it’s my grandparents house… I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for them. I just hope one day my grandkids say that about me, lol. All that to say thank you for the support…💙
As a fellow business owner, you are 100% correct. There are people you think have the same vision and bring onboard, but prove they don't in the long run. These relationships have to be severed for the good of the BRAND. The only difference is your business plays out in the public eye, and most people don't have the entrepreneurial spirit or drive to make it happen so they don't understand. If your going to be open, be open. Loved the content with Dean involved, and DDE is one of the only channels my Mrs can handle watching if I have it on tv as she got a great laugh from the channel, specially, those with Dean involved. Of course, that doesn't mean it all works for you guys lol but we both enjoyed it, and who wouldn't, it was always hilarious. Over the years of watching DDE I've notice some people come and go and noticed early on when Dean was missing. I'm with Damon on this, not everything needs to be discussed or put on the internet. I hope this video helps those that don't understand that you are running a business. Just like when someone is fired in your company the manager doesn't go around telling the employees and customers why (Proper business etiquette and HR wouldn't do this or allow).

Look Dean was a really nice guy and captured the affection of many DDE viewers so I get the split has a big impact. I think what people tend to forget is that this channel has grown to a pretty big deal now and keeping it going would involve many daily decisions and be very stressful. As Damon said its not a hobby , its a business. I am under no illusion that the happy go lucky Damon we see in video's in reality does has a much different persona in real life.

Agreed. Some of my favorite recent videos were with Dean and the crew. It’s kind of how I feel about certain musical artists. I enjoy them on their own but sometimes they need a few guest artists to keep things interesting.

What a solid video. Seeing this is super eye opening to a normal viewer that just enjoys being apart of the DDE family.
I needed that “mushy” moment… I haven’t seen my kids in 2 years because of CoVid and my mothers passing… I just had them with me for 2 weeks straight and I dropped them off at the airport yesterday and I don’t know when I’ll see them again. You know how some people, no matter how hard they work, no matter how hard they try… they never “make it”. That’s me. 42 years old and I finally realized that, yes, I work hard, yes, I work smart, yes, I’ve never given up…. But I’ll never be the successful man some people are just born into, let alone worked hard to achieve. So… I really don’t know when I’ll see them again. I needed to hear than, Damon. Worst part is that they are 22/16/15 so they don’t want to spend time with their old man now anyway.

@@Mpayne1472 No doubt, everyone is in their own unique struggle… after not seeing the kiddos for 2 years… and not knowing when I’ll see em again… and I do count my blessings for sure… seeing Damon’s mushy moment kinda hit hard, so it was more for context and empathy with Damon. He goes weeks at a time without seeing his kids, and now that the oldest girls are out of the house he might go months without seeing them. And… yeah… I do own a home… but the only reason is because moms will had a stipulation that I could live here for as long as I want… the property tax is high, but with my income and my wife being sick with autoimmune the fact is there isn’t a room in America I could afford to rent. That’s one blessing I count every day… but it’s hard that it took losing my mom to have this blessing. Frankly it’s my grandparents house… I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for them. I just hope one day my grandkids say that about me, lol.

If your going to be open, be open. Loved the content with Dean involved, and DDE is one of the only channels my Mrs can handle watching if I have it on tv as she got a great laugh from the channel, specially, those with Dean involved. Damon -- Your past 2 'Stories' videos were very good -- super CHILL -- a little change from your typical high-energy craziness. btw -- I have deleted my subscription to a particular FOO, FOO channel that just spent a good part of their latest video taking credit for breaking the news you reported today. Personally I feel the FOO, FOO channel 'click-bates' other content creator content.
Over the years of watching DDE I've notice some people come and go and noticed early on when Dean was missing. I'm with Damon on this, not everything needs to be discussed or put on the internet. I hope this video helps those that don't understand that you are running a business. Just like when someone is fired in your company the manager doesn't go around telling the employees and customers why (Proper business etiquette and HR wouldn't do this or allow).

Look Dean was a really nice guy and captured the affection of many DDE viewers so I get the split has a big impact. I think what people tend to forget is that this channel has grown to a pretty big deal now and keeping it going would involve many daily decisions and be very stressful. As Damon said its not a hobby , its a business. I am under no illusion that the happy go lucky Damon we see in video's in reality does has a much different persona in real life.

@@welloilbeefhooked4984 agree 100% I feel like every time he post something about DDE, he is trying to push a certain agenda that falls in line with DDE looking bad. When you are as successful as Damon and Dave, it comes with haters.
I think that was one of the channels Damon was talking about, creating drama. I finally unsubscribed from his channel because it seemed like he loved creating problems between different creators.
