American Airlines Center 6 Days and 4 Very Different Events

- Watch as the operations staff at American Airlines Center changes the arena from a dance floor, to a basketball court, to a rodeo and then ends with The Police Concert.
If I had $1 for every pixel in this video, I would have $0.10
So I did some investigating, and The Police concerts at this arena were June 26 and 27, 2007, so all of this would have been that week obviously. And in case anyone was wondering, the reason they setup the stage at one end of the arena, for The Police show, and push it to the other side is to save time. They need to set up the lighting rigs and PA on the floor and then raise it to the air, so they build the stage at the opposite side and push it in place once they raise that crap.

NBA and NHL seasons only have a few weeks of difference between them, so unless this was during playsoffs, i doubt it.

this makes you feel a little better about paying all of that money to see events, not only is there cost to put on the performance and bring in the talent, but there is clearly a ridiculous amount of man hours that go into the preparation and cleanup effort as well
That Bull Riding leaves the floor all messy. I always thought they poured the dirt on top of some sort of cover to protect the ground.

That makes no sense. Why would you build an arena for basketball and a separate arena for hockey, when a single arena can easily support both?
***** the Giants and Jets choose to share a stadium. The Jets had a plan for their own stadium but the cost was the issue, not space.

Some sports teams do own their own arena. But they usually rent it out in the off season, and when there's a away game or no practice.

Depends on who it is. Take WWE, TNA and PBR, they have their own crew. I think UFC does as well but I'm not sure. Many arenas do have their own free as well. The arenas crew will take care of the arenas stuff, taking stuff down and putting it back up. The people putting on the event like WWE and so on handle their stuff.
Shortest player in league currently is Earl Boykins who is 5'5.
ur kinda 2 inches shorter than what would be considered the minimum height, but there are still great players under 6 foot
so... basically magic

im 4ft 7 and i play power forward so yeah don try out for that position on the bball team
you have to be "atleast" about 5'8 to 6'0 to be in the nba. nate robinson is 5'9

PBR tours happen in the summer; I looked up the Police tour.....suspecting this took place in late June 2007 (especially considering the video upload date), when the NBA was in offseason
