Though Deepu was not a good actor in her first, but she placed herself as a star since day one. The aura that she carried, unmatched. Plus what a journey the woman has had, from doing a movie against bollywoods main man to now literally heading projects on her shoulder and covering so many firsts in the journey. Love you Deepu
Completely agree with Snayhil about Varun Dhawan, I think it's pretty obvious that Varun is a better actor than Siddharth. Varun is a much more sincere performer. Sid's acting is so wooden
Outsiders need a big debut to hold them over for a couple of films while they learn the craft. They know they have a limited amount of films to get their footing otherwise the movie offers will stop. Deepika was starting to get written off from Houseful onwards had to deliver a Cocktail to stay in the business. Same with Kriti with Bareilly Ki Barfi and Mimi. Or just need to be really good from the beginning like Rajkumar Rao. Whereas, industry kids get a huge debut, and continue getting movies even if they suck, i.e .Ananya. Her 7th film is where she did a semi-decent job (Kho gaye hum kahan), plus she actually has good script choices. Either Shah Rukh Kahn and Aamir actually choose scripts with a strong female character i.e RNBDJ or Dangal (or put on a pedestal like OSO) so that the actresses actually have a career to step on after getting out of the actors' shadow, or their start power is just that great that they can introduce a girl and the girl will succeed. I think it's the former because if star power was the only thing then Zarine Khan, Sneha Ullal, Bhumika Chawla, etc would have much bigger careers right now.
There is one debut which in my view should have at least gotten an honorable mention like Tiger Shroff, of Neil Nitin Mukesh in Johnny Gadaar. I know he hasn't exactly been in many successful projects but the film was really good. I also would have liked to have seen Gangs of Wasseypur mentioned(pt 1&2) again the actors(Huma Qureshi, Zeishan Qadri etc) that debuted in those films aren't mainstream successes but the films were really good. There is one more debut that should have been mentioned (as a joke) of Jacky Bhagnani who has had who knows how many "debuts"(and relaunches) but he failed or at least those films did, every time. One more I really would have liked as a funny one would have been of Munish (AKA Armaan) Kohli in Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani I know the film is from previous gen and Armaan Kohli is from SRK's debut class but it would have been funny if discussed. I also wish this concept of failed debuts and relaunches would have been discussed in further detail, they did touch upon it with Ranbir Kapoor but would have liked to have seen and heard more on that.
I would disagree with Antariksh regarding interview with Dharmendra he did say Ranveer Singh as Kapoor but he's an old man I guess ur forgetting that and if u see Ranveer reaction he was just in awe of Dharmendra rather than correcting Dharamji he just went with flow and later hugged him it was a very sweet gesture but social media hating Ranveer just took that much part and made fun of it......
Kriti Sanon is the most mediocre actress I can think of and seeing her get praised for such below average acting from you guys is really disappointing to say the least.
Err Deepika’s dialogues were dubbed in her debut - how is it a perfect 10? The focus was on her face and beauty, and they camouflaged her bad acting. Not a complete showcase which worked in her favor
This was a very cool idea! Loved this episode!
Would love to see you guys talking about previous eras debuts!

Although Kiara and Kriti are good actors, no one has quite mesmerized me like Deepika Padukone! I haven't seen that magic in anyone else since
Snayhil cameo in Vir Das standup reel❤️ but fully dedicated promoting IVM
Hope to get a 2 hour long episode on 'Big Debuts, Bad Careers' soon, Love from Bangladesh guys.

I watched Original ( Heropanti ) Parugu with Allu Arjun
Bechari Anushka Sharma ko ranking me dala hi nahi tum logo ne.
Good concept! Debut Directorial ventures next!
Bro, Dil chahta hai hands down
Deepika Padukone will always be the best debut for me
The discussion is not complete if you don't mention Avinash Tiwary debut for Laila Majnu

Antriksh's Rant on Tiger Shroff was better than the one in punchnama
Hrithik has the best debut ever....no one else comes close!
I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't understand what the parameters here were to rate the Debut of an actor.
dislike for calling om shanti om an avg movie. its the best masala movie ever made
You guys missed debuts of Tiger shroff, Bhumi pednekar, Sushant Singh rajput, patralekha, rajkumar rao
Ranveer is a relative of sonam kapoor
I absolutely support Antariksh. Tiger Shroff doesn't deserve a debut analysis. 😂😂😂
But Antariksh taste in cinema is bad nowadays - likes shitty films like Pushpa and Rocky rani
No bhumi ?
Varun dhawan is great in bhediya
SRK debut in deewana stole limelight of rishi kapoor and the debut of ranbir owned by srk again
is it repost?
Wtf mujhe bhi aaj pata chala ki Ranveer Delhi ka nahi hai!!
