Thanks a lot for you comment, FunkyFreak70!!! This kind of comments are very important for me, to continue doing videos like this! Thanks a lot, Martin
thank you so much, i never saw the race and thanks to your camera and track indications now i understand a lot more about the circuit. I see the race in a lot of video, but in this vid it' really evident how the track is fast. How this track give the sensation of "facility" but actually with no room for any errors at that speed. Congratulations for your race and thanx alot for sharing it!
Wow,interesting!!! I would have NEVER of known that, had You not given that info.!!! I highly appreciate that and it's GREAT to know that ONE of his bikes was a Kawasaki ER-6,as I own and ride a Kawasaki Ninja 650R (which is basically the same bike!!!) Thanks again!!!
Hi menom7! The first seconds of the video, when he's at the start line, is with the Kawasaki ER-6... the only thing is that the plastics on it are from a KTM RC8 Track... but his heart is from Kawa!
SupaHotFire hi there mate, so you mean it is free speed on ANY? Sunday? .. I wish I could race there but is so far and I dont think I may aford it, the whole deal but I wish...
This is a practice session, hence the reason why there are a mixture of bikes out on track. ie Supertwins (650twins) and supersort (4cyl 600). The bloke is a privateer ie an amature. the likes of John McGuiness are professional factory riders. The bloke has just lapped at over 118mph average speed getting held up in parts by riders on slower bikes. Bloody good lap indeed well done lad.
Hi menom7! He is riding a BMW S1000RR 2012! But in some images, he's also riding the superstock KTM RC8 Track, and also the Lightweight KAWASAKI ER-6!!!!
Grazie mille per le tue parole, balduzzzz!!! Un'abbraccio dell'isola!!! Se capisci lo spagnolo o il francese, ti animo a vedere i reportaggi che facciamo ogni giorno fino al 8 Giugno! Si chiamano TTMAN13 by martimotos (spagnolo) e TIM@TT2013 by martimotos (francese). Grazie mille!
Good idea with corners names...Much easier to remember them for some reason...I'm only a clubman with still some 20 races to go before I can apply for International licence, and with no sponsorship is bloody hard......Good luck on your racing anyway. Will look for you on next TT...Keep safe
Are there no flies on the Isle of Man? I ride a few miles down the road in the summer and me and the bike are decorated! I really like watching this vid,its just amazing!
There's loads of flies there. They don't whipe them off tho. They change the fairing as it gives them a chance to notice any oil leaks. Watch 'TT a dangerous addiction'
WOW!!! That was freakin AWESOME GUY!!! MAN,despite the SUN being in your eyes in the beginning,You just continued to hammer away at that throttle!!! AWESOME!!! Question......What kind and model of bike are you riding in this one??? I'd guess it's a Kawasaki-Ninja of some sorts,eh??? (simply by seeing it on your factory-decals on the side of your bike) And if so,what cc is it??? Any info. You can give would be MUCH appreciated!!! ENJOYED the RIDE immensely!!!!
Excellent what more is there to say about this Rider, Good idea putting all signs and corner names instead of the Rider having to commentate and break his concentration, nobody will ever beat GUY MARTIN for riding and commentating ;-)
Thanks, good rider. Rode the TT course when I went to watch it and got up to 150mph on one part. But a person has to recognise there limitations and I don't have the balls or expertise to do what these guys do !
Haha,Yup.........I had already figured the "plastics" on it were changed (for slicker aerodynamic reasons) and it looks GREAT like that!!! But I KNEW one of the bikes they are using was a Kawasaki ER-6n Frame,SIMPLY because at the 20:23-20:27 mark,You can CLEARLY see the bike their pushing out of the way in front, has the rear shock/spring tilted almost parallel with the ground, connected to the TOP of the swingarm and there's only ONE BIKE-MODEL that has that!! The Kawasaki Ninja 650R/ER-6N
I enjoyed that ! A nice safe smooth lap which is what you should always aim for around there. You never had me clenching once LOL and you were very carefull and courteous passed the slower lads. What was the time for this lap mate ?
Unsighted so many times out of Union Mills. Almost everyone else but top riders would have rolled off. Not these guys. They know where the road is going, exactly, not easy over 37+ miles….
Lets see here. Lets do a math equation (my answer will be approximate but lets just get an idea) 38 Mile Track, and he starts right at 0:40 and ends on 20:00, subtract the difference and his (this is where i say approximate) lap time is 19 mins and 20 seconds. So for 38 miles it took him just over 19 minutes to complete giving him an average speed of 118MPH or 189KPH... Pretty damn impressive. Id like to see any other race with numbers like those!
thats how its suppose to be done. if you want grip on your rear tyre you have to put more weight on rear wheel and you do that by accelerating....not too much offcourse:)
oh and I have never seen anyone race hayabusa versus ss 1000cc bike on track of any kind. maybe because it wasnt meant to be racing bike competitive with litre machine? have you even considered an option that not all two-wheel machines are made for racing, or how you stated taking a corner fast without a rope.
Does anyone know why they swing onto that old road near the end before getting back on the A2? Is it just to keep the course the same length it's always been? If so it kind of begs the question why they made that road so odd in the first place!
Anyone who competes at the tt is a star, this lap is around 19 mins 30 seconds, where the likes of dunlop, martin and mcguiness are over 2 mins quicker a lap...averaging in excesss of 130 mph per lap..
i'm sure at this moment 210 is max, but since the technology in motosport is developing at such rate as it is, i think in years to come we might see speeds above that :) it's not all in top speed but in speed that bike (and rider) is capable to take corners with...and with better suspension, drivetrain, tyres...etc, isle of man could get even faster. regards
+Norman Smith With it being the Island make that chips peas n cheese and for the full Manx gravy as well !! That will a/slow you down b/make you dash back the thunder pit at the paddock at record speed c/have a nasty follow "through" coming down the mountain the type the marshals say you on you own with that my son !!
Personally I don't think it's possible to Road Race any faster than the 200-210 mph is right on the limit well mine anyway I may be wrong I suppose I will get lots of insulting Emails now well u do get them Divs I mean
The skill and conviction of these men never fails to inspire and impress.
Went once in 2009 to tick it off my bucket list and I've been every year since. Totally hooked!
Grazie mille per le tue parole, dedomini!!! Quest'anno ci saremo un altra volta!!! Un'abbraccio!

Awesome video. Most of us could only dream of riding this great course
You have to dream it could be a reality because it has no speed limits on mad Sunday
SupaHotFire I meant you don't have to dream make it a reality
SupaHotFire hi there mate, so you mean it is free speed on ANY? Sunday? .. I wish I could race there but is so far and I dont think I may aford it, the whole deal but I wish...

It's like I'm in fast forward situation Ö Nice one (:
Fantastic!
Thank you so much for share it :D!
R.I.P Karl Harris 2014 TT claimed an immense rider fuckin joeys corner!!!

@crazymasterblaster Yes there are but after 105 years they've got them trained to stay off the course during race weeks ;)
Excellent what more is there to say about this Rider, Good idea putting all signs and corner names instead of the Rider having to commentate and break his concentration, nobody will ever beat GUY MARTIN for riding and commentating ;-)
Thanks DBD34GS!!!
Simply WOW
Che spettacolo !

AWESOME!!!
Guy Martin wasn't commentating at the same time he was riding. He added the commentary while reviewing the video.
realy amazing

@2:38
First time I see someone riding slow through Ballagarey. It is definitely the healthier approach. ☝🏿🧐
"slow"?!!! Faster then I'd ever dare 😂
They've added a few bits. In fact they lap at about 17 minutes and average 131mph
UUUUUNBELIEVEEEEABLEEEEE !!!
Unsighted so many times out of Union Mills. Almost everyone else but top riders would have rolled off. Not these guys. They know where the road is going, exactly, not easy over 37+ miles….
F1 back in the 70s was just as crazy
6 un grande!!!!!ciao
Great video, thanks!! :)
notice how he stomps on it through the apex, thats trust in your tires
What size bike is he on? I would love to do this.
Lets see here. Lets do a math equation (my answer will be approximate but lets just get an idea) 38 Mile Track, and he starts right at 0:40 and ends on 20:00, subtract the difference and his (this is where i say approximate) lap time is 19 mins and 20 seconds. Anyone who competes at the tt is a star, this lap is around 19 mins 30 seconds, where the likes of dunlop, martin and mcguiness are over 2 mins quicker a lap...averaging in excesss of 130 mph per lap..
the guy who dislike this video doesn't have passion with moto racing
*THE BEST COMPETITION ON THE PLANET
this cant be the senior tt, have a look at the on board with John McGuiness, makes this look slow !
i'm sure at this moment 210 is max, but since the technology in motosport is developing at such rate as it is, i think in years to come we might see speeds above that :) it's not all in top speed but in speed that bike (and rider) is capable to take corners with...and with better suspension, drivetrain, tyres...etc, isle of man could get even faster. regards
