  • From a recording made by Wayne N. Devereaux, former chief technician of the Salt Lake City Tabernacle Organ, of a recital played in 1965 by Alexander Schreiner in the Salt Lake City Tabernacle.

    I would like to pay tribute to Dr. Schreiner!! As a budding organist in the 1960's his many published works got me through many a service!! Thanks AS, you were my Hero!! xo

    Yes. The photo is from a very early pamphlet on the organ that was given to me by Wayne Devereaux. The top, front fluted ends, and it appears a roll top, were quite majestic matching the motifs in the organ case. And the original bench later switch to a "performance" bench for camera to see through.

    The picture of the organ in this one looks to be from before they chopped it down a little so that the organist could see the conductor better.
