Just saw Jersey Boys last night! What trip through memory lane! I had forgotten how many hits they had. My daughter who was in a different generation had heard most of these and loved them. What a great story and how wonderful he is still going entertaining us with his music.
This song hit #1 four days after I was born! I've heard it all my life but never knew that's what Mom and Dad were listening to when I arrived in this world.
I remember listening to this as a teenager when the song first came out with my boyfriend who happens to be my husband today. Brings back so many happy memories and makes you appreciate them all. I put this song on now to remind my husband of how we used to dance to it and he got up and started dancing with me. Some things never change. Just live life to the fullest and don't worry about looks, money or any nonsense and just take time to stop and look around at life and have fun with family and friends because they won't be around forever.
I was listening to the Four Seasons when I was 16 years old with my husband Martin 18 years that was 45 years ago now we are blessed with 3 beautiful sons gifts from our God now all grown up with grandchildren 4 beautiful thank you god for my life as without you we Are nothing x
I'm 33 and finally got to see Frankie Valli LIVE just last month! I was one of the youngest there, and loved every minute of the show. My momma taught me well!
I wasn't born until 1970, but I have a variety amount of different types of music I like! This is definitely one of them, the way the lead singers voice is, awesome! Jerry Purgerson Sr
The Four Seasons were as much a part of my growing up as air and water. They were such huge part of my transition from puberty to being the woman I am today. You are my heroes! Without you, I wouldn't have anything to go back and remember what wonderful music made my life so memorable. Thank you Frankie and your counterparts. Long live your legacy. Don't think there will ever be another Frankie Valli or Four Seasons. You paid your dues Mr. Valli
I love the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons ! I use to listen to my Mom's double set pocket Albums of their greatest hits in the 70's.. Seen the Jersey Boys play in Vegas and Gammage 4x..I loved it!
Before we had the Beatles, we had the Four Seasons, and they were the start of pop-rock that exploded on the scene shortly thereafter. The Four Seasons were historic, for they represented toned down rock and roll, that was considered "devil music", and gave us the Beach Boys, Motown, Beatles, the British Invasion, and so many other great talent pop rock groups that defined the 1960's. We all owe the Four Seasons a debt of gratitude for getting it going!
Entertainment plus.Just look at the presentation.Just great. Not frightened to appear ' attractive' to their audience.Great music and backing. Thanks for this.cheers.
I sang this song to my 8 mo. Old granddaughter on the day she was born wen I heard her cry for the 1st time...& Everyday since then, She is starting to hum it wen I sing it to her now. She ABSOLUTELY LOVES this song...this evening I let her hear it on utube & her Mom, my 17 yrs old daughter said I didn't know that was a real song....I thought Yu made it up for her. I played it 5xs in a row for her as she bounced n hummed to it...too cute.
so underrated that he got $80 million networth and being in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame brother if that's underrated than wow if all he's highly rated even though he have giant influence on the genre
I may be only 22 but listening to these kind of songs just makes me feel so nostalgic. I'd have given anything to have grown up in this time. I'm thinking of making a 60s theme album and bring back this kind of music.
I heard a song on a sports station on the radio and looked on YT n found it, ...'oh what a night' and daaaang this band is awesome...I have watched 3 songs from links n liked em all :)
BreachingTBone my apologies, I meant a Murrican translation, but I speak English too (unlike most Murricans) so I get the general meaning of your statement.
Tanya Sapien oh. no worries. the Murican translation would be "them white negras play some damn fine noises. they is OK by me, long as they stay away from my sister!"
OMG!!! I've fallen in love💞 I've just finished watching the movie " The Four Seasons " I couldn't get enough, I couldn't take my eyes off the tv, I wanted more, more Frankie Valli....Now I no why people go crazy, cry, pull out their hair over a Super Star..I was actually doing it in my lounge room...If I was granted only one wish I would wish to see Frankie on stage up and personal...( by the way, I'm 59, and I'm newly in love..)
Saw Jersey Boys last fall! It was AMAZING! This music was before my time. It is the music of my parents. But I remember listing to it growing up. The music today and I grew up with in the 90s listening to was good, but NOTHING can compare to the music of the 60s. No group, as hard as they try, will ever top the Beatles or the Four Seasons!
30 Jan 2020 The originals. well dressed and classy. We saw Frankie and his Seasons, on his 'final uk tour' Dec 2019. He was and is still well dressed and classy. Oh that voice. Why can't lesser 'pop stars!' follow Frankie's example.

Unlike this performance he’s been lip synching for 20 years

Love the part at the beginning when the three of them walk forward together - They're like the hit men of music.
Valli's voice is crazy authentic 🥂
I live for that high pitch, it's giving me life!
Ya' gotta like the way they took Dylan's " Don't Think Twice" and woke it up. Thanks for all the songs Four Seasons !
Watched Jersey Boys and out of all their wonderful songs, this one stuck playing in my mind, never realized how much I liked it!!
When you realize each song tells a story it means more, too. This one is a clever song. "Big girls DO cry" when they cheat and get caught.
Saw them this summer, FANTASTIC STILL !! See them when you can.

Obviously this isn’t a pre-recorded track, they’re preforming live....they are very talented and underrated. Frankie Valli has a great voice

can I get an english translation on that?
Tanya Sapien it means it's quite an exceptional song by four strapping young lads.
What an amazing piece of bubblegum pop.
I love this so much
❤

I love how Bob Gaudio started this rendition with the intro from "Sherry."
Me too

The East Coast's Beach Boys.
I love this type of music :-) 50's and 60's are my absolute favourites xxx
...at last, I heard a song without autotune....
I have respect for people like Bob who played the piano/keyboard while standing and dancing.
Is it normal to like live versions of songs better than just studio versions?
"Oldies were usually sung live and they sound 10x better because it was real talent compared to today's crap
Luv this song, and all the Four Seasons songs!!!!!
I'm eleven years old and I love this song❤️Something is wrong with me
If there is, then there is something wrong with me too
I think then is everything right with you

That voice crack at 0:48

Bob Gaudio is the best songwriter ever
Love Frankie Valli & 4 Seasons!
Featuring “the invisible drummer” 😂
With guest appearances " the Ghosty Quartet" on trumpets
The 4 Seasons had a drummer in the revamped 70's line up, Gerrie Polci and he sang lead vocals on "Oh Whatta Night, December 63"!
I,m 72 & still a fan!
Doesn't the beginning sound like "Sherry" or it it me?
Sherry was their first big hit the same year that Big Girls came out, you are correct that the intro has a bit of the melody from Sherry!
this is exactly the reason i enjoy rock music from the 60's, short and simple, not only that, they was very catchy
