Back in the days of good taste elegance and understatement. Now its all bling and brutal.☹️

Absolutely agree with you. Rolls-Royce don't care about their traditional clients. It's all for vulgar show offs.

Gorgeous. This is how Rolls-Royce should be, not the current dreck from horrible BMW.

Rolls Royce should design retro styled Phantom concept inspired from this Silver Spur.

I don't think sports stars and influencer cells would go for that .

@alexgamble4718 Exactly. Not enough vulgarity in the proper Rolls-Royce cars. At one time Rolls-Royce would refuse to make a car with anything that they thought would detract from the brand reputation. Now the more vulgar excess the better. Expensive cars for cheap people.

DWL I have a price list for 1995 USA but no Silver Spirit was on offer. The base model was the Silver Dawn at $149,900, then the Silver Spur III ,and Flying Spur. Two Corniche models and the Touring Limousine were also on offer .

Beautiful car, maybe not the best and most advanced car, but best in style. This RR is superb. Look what the Germans have done with the brand these days, completly ruined!

Widescreen on a VHS(?) tape isn’t a recipe for high quality. But it works better than expected.
    Thx!

Widescreen was probably the only way to fully get a 5,40m long car on video ;)

And here we are in 2022 where a crappy 1995 Ford Escort is worth three times as much as this superb car.

The mood was slightly broken when someone forgot to change the radio from Signal 1. They don't play many arias on there 😆

Anyone know what the difference is between spur and dawn ?.

    • @user-gj6wc9sb3h
      @user-gj6wc9sb3h 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The silver dawn replaced the silver spirit for the 1996 model year as the new entry-level rolls, but then both dawns and spurs were extended wheelbase at the end of that design's run 96-98 before the seraph.👍🏼

25 years later a car is unrecognisable. In tech. Body panels. Wheels. Insane lift off. 1900-1995 not loads happened. Now we’re EV PHEV this. 50 ecu that.

    • @thex2thaz

      Yes and no.
The most important things in auto history that lead us to this point are
      - Airbags
      - Seatbelts
      - Turbocharging
      - Navigation
      - Fuel Injection
and LED Lights I would say are some of the most influential things that can compare since 1900 in every automobile.

I'm so luc, lucky, to own one of the Pre 2001 cars a real RR not the electronic nightmares built today.the crewe cars rule. They have real metal bumpers and a complete front grille not some flimsy insert thing I can't believe the entire beginning to end of Rolls Royce cars happened in the 20th century, but it did...? Why
