    Hi Parnell. This is a perfect recipe for beginner bakers.
    One tip though, after putting the ball of dough between the two sheets of wax paper, use the glass pie pan to flatten the dough. It will help keep the dough in a round-ish shape and let you shape and flatten the dough about 70% of the way. Then use the rolling pin to flatten the dough the rest of the way. This will also help prevent having to tear bits of dough and move them around.

    Great pie crust. So crispy, crunchy and above all, easy!! I doubled it to make a full crust pie and it worked great. Just flat out double everything, make two balls of dough. What a great recipe. I figured a real chef would know how to do it easy. The vinegar is key. Love it and so grateful. I can't see using two sticks of butter for butter pastry that's often tough. This is fantastic. Thanks so much.

      Hi, Joan!
      I'm so happy that you liked my pie crust recipe. Honestly, everyone who tries my pies really likes the crust.
      I agree that 2 sticks of butter to make crust for a pie is a bit much. And honestly, by using a combination of butter and oil, you can get a nice butter flavor--but not too strong--so that you don't overwhelm the other flavors. That's why it tastes so good imo
      Thanks again for watching and commenting! 👍🥧😀

    Thank you for the recipe? can this recipe be doubled to have a top crust as well?

    • @ParnellTheChef
      @ParnellTheChef  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Elizabeth!
      Yes, you can definitely double this recipe if you want to make a pie with a bottom and top crust.
      However, what I usually do is that instead of doubling the ingredients in one bowl, I make each pie crust separately (basically, I make the recipe twice). That way, I don't have to guess about how to divide the dough ball evenly since I end up with two balls of dough instead of one big one, lol.
      Thanks for watching and commenting. BTW: How did you find my recipe? I am always curious haha👨‍🍳🥧

    Hi Parnell, curious if I can use olive oil? Canola oil is one that I steer well clear of. Thank you!

    • @ParnellTheChef
      @ParnellTheChef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      If you want to use olive oil, I would use a light-tasting olive oil that is light in color. If you use extra virgin, I think the flavor of the olive oil might be "odd" in the crust, depending on the type of pie you are making. You could also use a refined avocado oil or grapeseed oil if you have that...

    Show the ingredients in print and just not by repeating it so you can go back and copy it.
