Good job I think soldering is critical for good work. Im always in awe of these guys who just make it look so easy. I weld and I had to learn the cleanly part, the amount of heat, angle of holding the gun and timing to get a good bead. Practice makes perfect. Lol
Your work is fine and great to watch I try to understand everything your doing and your explanations are easy to understand, Looking forward to the next one Thankyou
The weirdest short I ever had to track down was finally found inside the micro USB port. The strange part is that it would ONLY show up when the cable was connected but would be gone it was removed. It was so hard to find because it was never there when I was testing for short since I wouldn't need to have the USB cable connected. Only when I spoke with my customer and asked them EXACTLY what they were doing when the problem happened did they mention they had been trying to charge their phone. I tried to replicate what they did and suddenly the short was there but I was using my own known good cable so I KNEW that was not the problem. Once I swapped out the port the short was gone and never came back. I still can't understand how no parts burned out or how the port could short out that.
your skills are very impressive, your application of understanding to practice. unrelated: i couldn't agree more about replacing the solder - i can relate also to the satisfaction of doing a job in a pristine way, but in the end the time wasted for no actual benefit whatsoever is more important.
hi Mr SORIN im very thankful for this video ....i was struggling while ago with the same model and fault DELL LA-371P nothing on type-c connector and seeing ur video make me realize how this pc (type c protocol )workes so thank you very much can you please share the link on a working TPS65992s .
Apple logo on laptop as the client wishes it was a Mac lol😅. Sorin you are right I have been soldering for many years even before utoob and as long as it was fixed I did not care. I even used to solder without flux and the old solder was proper "calibrated" lead and good flux in them. Only when I started watching utoob I became obssessed with the finish of my soldering and feel ashamed lol. I even pretended to be a novice in soldering asking silly questions on those channels I watched. Since watching your channels I became less so concerned and obssessed. Those soldering of the past repairs lasted until the appliances or devices died of old age. By the way I see what you mean about the prius and you are correct in USA they get the better deal in all aspect. The truth is Toyota is my favourite car and my first car was a Toyota Carina and I swear by the make. I have had 2 prius and they are excellent only to be spoiled by Taxi drivers LOL.
anybody who wants to work as an electronics technician should have a lot of laptops parts as spares and live in a country inside eu where postal services are quick and safe. keep this in mind those who want to be in this business.
I know NOTHING about computer science nor electricity, but it is very satisfying watching how you describe what you are doing while you are repairing. 🤌👍
I love watching your videos. I have been able to correct some minor problems because of them. One that I haven't seen addressed is affecting my Dell Inspiron 3520. It got unplugged during a Windows update when the owner's dog ran through the charging cable. Now it will not power on and actually kills the AC adapter when I plug it into the charging port. Have you ever had a situation like this?
Hello Mr. Sorin İ would like to thank you for this wonderful work. I wonder how I can get some tools like the USB type " C " tester, the flex, Svod programmer and all your tools ?
Sorin, is it posible a Dell computer is not turning on if the screen is not attached? I have a Dell XPS without screen (waiting fot he replacement) and it won't turn on cause it's not passing the POST process. Is there any way to fool the mobo or apply a load or something to use the computer headless? Awesome content as usual. Thanks!
Orosalsero, how did you donate money to Sorin, please? I despair when he loses money because of rogue traders but I can't work out how to send him cash to support him. Do I just use the 'thanks' icon underneath the main video? Do I need Google Pay or something or can I just use paypal? Thanks in advance.
Hi i have hp laptop and I have issue that my laptop turn on for 3 second then it shut down and won't turn on until day or 3 days and the same problem show up please help me with this and thanks❤
Hello there i was wondering if you could help me i own a recoil II GK5CN5Z and my nephew mistakenly put my c charger in to the c port at the back of the laptop and now the USB dont work every other port works Headphone/Mic/Ethernet all work fine so this should be a small job right ? if it is then would i be able to turn an m.2 slot in to 3.1 usb or even 2.0 would help as my laptop has a sata port and 2x m.2 ports any help would be awesome...
How do you deal with no charger in some cases where there is USB 3.0 Type C plug? I have seen some chargers for sale online but they are specified only for a certain list of laptops. Is there a universal charger, or does it work plugging it to a bench power supply?
Hi i find your channel very interesting keep up the good work... I have a question maybe you or someone else can answer. I have an Alienware P69F which when plugged in to the main will light up the logo and then go off. Doesn't switch on but when checking the voltage to the battery i see 11.4v Does this model work without the battery connected? I'm not sure if it needs replacing or there is a fault on the motherboard. With it lighting up the logo i don't think there is a short anywhere but i've not check yet. I want to rule out the problem being the battery.
I'am sure customer's power adapter or cable is bad. He is connect to one usb-c connector, blow the chip, then connect second connector and blow the second chip.
About the comment on why u don't clean the pads after... I do it to make sure there isn't be a short.. especially after spending $30 for 2 chips.. just sayin
sorrin i have question for you my customer laptop is lenovo v330 core i5 the is shorted what can i do if it is work orderd chip for my super io issue the main issue is shorted superio i have no junk for the same board please tell me the is npce285 novoton super io
With the sticker now it's a Dappell. But it's a super stupid idea to blow something up and risk to damaging something into the unrepairable state OR burn somthing into a level, that you cant read the letters on the damaged component anymore... so be more patient. that mistake could be avoided through taking the probe on the left hand and the thermal camera on the right or turning the board 180degree... i'm pretty sure, that chip wasn't that damaged... and you blew when pushed 4 amps. You see, how hot it got with only 1 amp! You pushed 4 amps for a long time... that melted the chip. Switching supplys shut off when shorted.
Hey Sorin, how are you doing? I'm interested in repairing and want to start. My question is does a 15v dc enough for laptop repair or did I buy 30v dc. Thanks
how much times you had problem with new chips wont solder bcus humidity etc which is on pads you need to clean pads on chips before soldering. its not rubish its just layer of how they are stored handled like guy said... i saw you rush that with chips my honesty opinion is thats turbo job for shop you are home now you have all the time you can make it nice. Love bro
Hi Sorin! I was always wondering what's going on with the excess solder on the ground middle pad under the chip. When you press the chip down and squeeze the solder out how it is possible and the excess solder don't create bridges with the outside pins of the chip?
@@skjatayumobileandlaptop1013 I have tried but after removing the solder blobs outside the chip always i was wondering if under the chip is all ok and i thought if this is the rule and the guarantee way or a 50-50 chance for success...

Why manifacturers using that usb c port to charge it?it’s more complicated and fragile then a standart charging port .they want your laptop will die after warranty period and you buy a new one.

What a disrespect for that beautiful Dell XPS that apple sticker. That Dell is much better than a 🍎
I think the owner put the apple sticker on so people know he is an idiot with more money than sense.
Another magic from Master Sorin✌️💪

I've seen it on another videos, if one of the chip is burned, the other one is burned also
so, you have to replace both chips
Good job. I love your videos always
How do you know the direction of the TP65992 IC?

Hey Sorin, how are you doing? I'm interested in repairing and want to start. My question is does a 15v dc enough for laptop repair or did I buy 30v dc. Thanks
You need whatever voltage the laptop needs to operate which generally is 19 volts so i would get a variable power supply 0 - 30volts and 5 or 10 amps.

if you replaced a fuse with a macbook one you can legally claim your laptop IS a macbook, so the sticker is legit.
Some UBC chips from ebay are fake
The laptop not working when the battery is disconnected is an effort to force you to buy a new battery when it dies.
the absurd thing is that they do it more than you can imagine, I can't have it, but at least I have to stick the sticker, it's pathetic 😆
Noice
