I remember this one with the magnet. I think Tim Conway did a William Tell skit with the same idea.

This is one of the few times when Walter Tetley played a character other than Sherman Peabody.

Walter? I thought it was Bill Scott providing his voice.

The description says it originally aired in the early 1990s. It actually originally aired in the early 1960s on the The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends. You can tell it was at least 1961 because it’s in color. The show was cancelled in 1964. Seasons consisted of a lot more episodes than modern broadcast shows produce. This was episode 53.

I don't believe I wrote "originally "...the source recording was from early 90's, obviously these are from the early 60's...I like you notated the episode #.

@@siresounds - Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to sound so pedantic.
I remember watching these, already in syndication, in the early 1970s.
I love the voice work on all these old Rocky and Bullwinkle shows. It’s always the same handful of people doing everything.
The American version of Speed Racer was like that too. The Japanese version came out in 1965 and the American dub came out in 1967. In Japan, they had different actors playing every character. In America, there were 3 people who did all the voices.
Thank you for posting these! I love your YT channel!

Actually, William Tell probably did not exist in real life-he was the hero of a play with an anonymous author. Also, in the play, the governor only dared William Tell to shoot to apple of his son's head-he never actually expected William Tell to do it, and was shocked when he did.

The word television was named after William Tell. I also remember Gary Rossini's William Tell overture.

0:40 Mr. Peabody: "Set the Way Back for November 18th of the year 1507." Sherman sets the Way Back for the year 1307.
