You’re so right! JK’s vocal agility is one of my favorite things about his voice. And also the effortlessness with which he sings. He’s extremely versatile. To me his tone is very pure but can have a bit of rasp and get a bit nasal in parts when he wants it to, and the quality is very breathy and smooth. Their voices are all very unique and bring different strengths. BTS will simply not have the spectacular sound that it has without all 4 vocalists.
Jk and V are my all time favorite vocalists in BTS I love their songwriting process and their production and their rich voices but Jin and Jimin here gave me goosebumps 🥺

They give me chills from my scalp to my toes! JK is my bias but I love all of them so much. JK's voice is like - an angel?? lol! Just crystal pure and piercing, but it has great control over it to bring in different textures. I've heard him talk about how hard he worked on it, he sang ALL the time to refine it, and even sang on the treadmill to increase his breath control for singing while dancing. V's voice is also so unique, so warm and sultry with rich texture, and Jimin and Jin also have beautiful tone and texture. And the rap line is awesome - on that first go round you called Suga Suga and JHope Suga - haha. And yes - they constantly mess with their hair, V seems to be most likely to have the perm in his hair. :)
This composition is gorgeous and I enjoy that its in Japanese too, it brings slightly different energy and vibe to it due to how that language sounds on their tongues:-) Jin and his tonal quality once again shines in this Japanese track, he navigates all those high ends with such finesse, its so so light and breezy. When he and Jimin did that middle part, switching back and forth, it was really impactful. Rapping was nice too but I prefer their raps in Your eyes tell more ( just a matter of taste ). What I personally enjoyed most in this live version of Filmed out was JK´s work on runs, harmonies and ad libs. I love how he just stands there, on the very far end, barely noticeable, with his eyes closed, all unpretentious and subdued and yet, when he joins rappers with his harmonies and ad libs he bumps the thole song to a totally another level. When you said you couldn´t properly verbalize what Jungkjook´s tone really was but it was that special, I think you are not the only one. I myself have been wrecking my brain numerous times when I tried to understand why I am so addicted to this young man´s voice. It is all inclusive, full of soul and life, smooth and well rounded, tonally incredibly pleasing, emotionally well balanced but mainly it dosn´t have any abrasive edges. Its like touching a surface of a precious piece of wood, well sanded and perfectly polished, . You can close your eyes and confidently run your fingers across its surface, trusting you won´d get any splinters under your skin...beautiful, enjoyable, peace bringing, silky and endlessly smooth. Don´t be mistaken JK can get gritty and screechy when he wants to but even that is always well rounded and bump free :-) ... about Tae´s hair :-) He has sported waves, curls and frizz many times but he is not the only one in Kpop. I am not a big fan of them going curly, I am just in awe of their natural, straight, pitch black, smooth ans glossy hair ( what I would give for such hair :-) Can´t wait when you start to venture into rap line territory - aka the creative furnace of BTS :-)

They don’t even try to change the subject. I don’t have a bias. I am OT7. JK has SOUL. I am in the dirty South in the US. I am not Baptist, but Black Baptist churches are well know for their choirs and music directors. I will use and old phrase the elders would say to describe a naturally gifted singer to describe JK. THAT BOY CAN HUM! JK said something in a documentary that I always remember. He said when he was selected as the main vocalist, he knew he had to step up vocally. He said he realized looking at other Vocalists, there are a lot of talented singers. He stopped taking vocal lessons because he said there was an element of his voice he loved and he knew he would lose it if he continued with the vocal coach. He decided to just sing while doing day to day activities- always sing. I felt like I knew the element he was referring to. You reacted to Festa room 2021. Their very first song, I Wanna, that intro JK sings. I think that RB, soulful ooh ooh is the it, he did not want to lose. He said he felt like she, the vocal coach would teach the element out of his voice. I believe that too. JK was painfully shy, so he expressed himself through songwriting. Magic Shop, Your Eyes Tell, Begin, Euphoria, Stay, My Time and more. BulletProof, No More Dreams. Love is not Over. He writes beautiful lyrics. He’s a perfectionist. So, he still has not released a mixtape, but he has written about 2 dozen songs which is more than enough, but he is still working on it. It will be amazing no doubt. V said once a long time ago that the vocal teacher did not like his voice. I think they got beyond that because he will call her if he feels like he needs training for a specific song-his falsettos are amazing. A black female gospel singer who appeared in Whoopi Goldberg’s movie Sister act worked with V. She told him she likes his voice. I think the training he received from her helped him tap into that amazing voice that he showcases in Singularity, Stigma his solos. Jimin’s story makes me sad, mad and then glad so I won’t comment. Seokjin’s voice is beautiful. I use to get a little nervous when that vein in his neck pops out. I was worried he was singing too hard.
