Спасибо за отличное исполнение. Наверное, это все таки лучшие композиции-упражнения, для изучения фундамента рок-гитары.Соло и ритм-партии красивые и выразительные.
I remember back in like '88-'89 I was having serious issues about how to play all the awesome incredible guitar licks that all the badass guitar players were doing I could play rhythm pretty good but lead guitar was a very weak point for me and oh my God I wanted to learn so bad I had purchased an ACDC book in Newark Ohio guitar store and it didn't help me too much so I took it back and exchanged it for Troy's lead guitar volume 1 and I owe everything that I do on guitar to that man he is awesome a great teacher!!!!!!
@@dariorigon7905 Of course it was hard work and a lot of effort. I was refering to the supposed happines I’d Imagined I’d feel if I was the one who learned them all. Great work dude! 👍💪🎸🏆
After 25 years of playing the guitar, I will take another attemp to finally conquer "to the stage". I never made it beyond the speed exersizes. Thx for your vid, great motivation to see how it is played and that it can be done while not freaking out and looking cool.
To be honest I make all songs from first metal solo guitar book after playing 15 to 20 years. This book was my very first guitar instructional book, that's why I decided to finish it as it supposed to be. If I could make it I believe everyone else also can. Thanks for leaving the comment, all the best.
@@PaulKobzev This was also my first and only book. after having it made that far, I was able to play everything i wanted. But I always was too frustrated to not pass the second solo... Now maybe with a bit more patience due to getting old, I could make it. Who knows. :D
@@TheRaubein I have to mention one thing. In my opinion the goal of this book is not only play the solos at the end of each chapter and master exersices but learn to make same kind of solos by yourself. If you join a band nobody wanted a guitar player who can play sertain solos, no matter Troy Stetina or Kirk Hammet, but every band need a musician who can make his own solos and rhythm patterns. As a guitar teacher I made few "To the stage like" solos for my students some of them easier some harder, for all student leves. Because It's too boring listen same "To the stage" on and on.
Beautiful and skilled solos Paul and all are ready for prime time. I'm back to TH-cam. After six months I preferred TH-cam and could only handle one platform. L18 ~ Frank
I saw email, after it disappear. Anyway, backing tracks aviable in you tube. You have just properly search for it. The book which I bought long time ago has two audio tapes, so here I used 128 kbs mp3 files which avaiable here and there in web.
I think it's more important how do you play, but not how you record that. I saw a lot of very good musitians who record themselvs only with mobile phone camera and nothing else. Recordnig video and audio separetely kinda tricky, you should have a sound card at least. When I learned guitar recording I used you tube tutorials a lot. So you don't need my advises because I am not an audio enginer, I am a guy who play guitar just like you.
Here's a newbie question but will becoming proficient at Troys books and learning songs at or a little above my level lead to good progress? By good progress I guess I mean one day years down the road being able to jam and pick up songs by ear? Rock, metal, blues stuff like that, you know so that it doesn't seem like magic but seems like " hey I think I know what he's doing! I can probably pick that up."
Troy have a great guitar technique books. But if you want to know about what you doing, you probably have to learn something about scales, modes, intervals, triads ets... Ear training must be helpful. You can buy a piano/sintsicer/midi keyboard and practice in the way like classical musicians do. That takes a time.
Into the spotlight

I spent so many hours with those solos in high school...and got a lot of influence to my own music and playing 🙂🎸

It was the same thing for me back in '98-'99 at some Moscow's guitar store.
Takes me back to 1991 these solos
OMG had this book + cassette back in 1987! I only managed to learn the first solo as I can remember. Lucky you, who learned them all! Great post!
