So true! I've not been using sticker books that long (maybe 2-3 years), when I first started doing deco planning I used washi, pens, and patterned paper. But I come from scrapbooking and cardmaking so it was just a natural progression. Now I'm more a decorative planner who also makes scrapbooks and cards lol!
I try to follow your advice as general practice, but hearing you so emphatically and plainly say "...if you want to look at the stickers again, flip through your planner, not the bleeping sticker book. Use. Your. Stickers!" really sealed it in place. Now it's not just some thing I'm trying to convince myself of, but something a "pro" also agrees with and advocates. Great, now I want that printed on a sticker, LOL!
This is so for me. I am definitely a sticker book hoarder, and now I've started to make my own, I'm even hoarding them. Love this video. Time to put the cricut away and use all the books I already have. Thank you!! 😍🤩
Thanks Ruth! Yep, I just see so many people hoarding these stickers and not using them... then buy more! The hobby turns into collecting sticker books rather than planning lol!
@@CreativeKarmaDesign exactly! I’ve stopped buying sticker books. I’m determined to use up I have, if I want something different I either make my own, buy off Etsy (thank you) or get smaller kits from small shops. I also have a ton of scrapbooking supplies I use as well.
I followed you from reddit. 😅 I'm like you: I only but sticker books if they're less than $10. Currently I'm not letting myself buy any more until I've used up the ones I have (or at least used up all the good stickers such that I'm willing to throw out the rest). It makes me more discerning when I buy new ones and gives me motivation to use up my stickers!
Yay! Glad it's not just me that is frugal when it comes to craft supplies. But yep I think I bought 2 books full price but nope I'll wait and buy it on sale in a few months (sometimes not that long lol!).
Your bonus was one reason I was thinking about adding lol. I have never understood the idea of hoarding stickers. If I see a sticker I love I want to use it, otherwise what is the point? The other consumerism issue I see in the community...Buying multiples of the same book. Why?! Especially when they are full priced new releases from HP? They're going to be on sale in 6 months. Use all the stickers you love then buy a replacement down the line.
Again Kat this works with ANY crafting supply. The reason I created this was because I see the same thing happening with my planner supplies as happened with paper crafting/stamping. I collect the supplies and don't use them! We need to USE them!
I use most of my books cover to cover....it's too large an investment to leave sitting around....100% agree with you!
Agreed Marylyn! Too much $$ invested not to USE them!
How do you do that? Teach me your secrets 😂. The issue for me is every sticker book has stickers that are not my vibe and I doubt I will ever use.
Agreed!! Teach us!
Love it! True about our planner likes changing over time. I have only been decoratively planning for a year and I already notice a change.

Hahahaha sometimes it's like we need to hear things from someone else. I love looking through my old planners and remembering spreads I created,
Best discussion ever! Why did it take me 11 months to find this video???
hahahahaha well better late than never!
Great video! I tell myself this often … just pick it and stick it 💕crafty hugs. Thanks
Love that!

I try and make a point to use my stash AND cricut stickers. I'm trying to use more stickers in other projects too.
Exactly 💯 with you! Stickers die and so does washi so we need to use them!
yeah washi is worse IMO! That stuff goes bad quick!
This video was so good I’ve watched it twice and plan to watch it again!
Hahahaha Thank you! Use the stickers!!!
I love it! Thanks for sharing your tips! ❤
You tell it like it is! Thank you!

You are right! I’m going to stop hoarding them! 😮
yep, let's USE our stash!!!
Thanks for the reminder to use my stickers! I’m too embarrassed to admit how many planner supplies I have!
I think you're among friends here who have the same issue lol!
Love this! I need to use my damn stickers!
hahah and so say all of us!
I really needed to hear all this, thank you for this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video!!!! It was something I needed to hear!!!
Glad it was helpful! It was more a reminder for ME that I had to share lol!
Thank you for this. I really needed to hear this.
Me too! Like I said in the video, this was more for ME lol!

😂 I am so guilty of this and now I'm going to hear you in my head telling me to "use my bloody stickers" 😂😂 so thank you!
You are so welcome! 😂

Exactly!! This is why I don't buy full price! Usually the craft stores have them 40% off or I can use a coupon. Why would I pay full price???
❤❤❤
😍
5:00 well, i live in another country. I'm not sure that there will always be another sticker book. I mean. It will be, but not from THP for me.

I wish I could afford them. Too expensive.
I rarely buy full price. I think I bought two books full price. I buy sales, discounts, clearance, coupons etc.
