Oof love that rose and thorn connection to Kaiser's character. Have you ever seen others point out Kaiser and Ness's character designs being comparable to roses? Kaisers hair with its short layers on top and long blue strands almost bear resemblance to a rose and its stem. There is extra symbolism because we've seen how his hair is dyed and so far the only way to turn roses blue is to dye them artificially. One way is to let roses absorb blue food coloring through its stem, hence Kaiser having the most blue at the ends of his hair. Kaiser's hair being dyed can also represent how his dominating emperor mentality is like a façade thanks to his real nature being exposed the further we get into the NEL arc and everything gets taken away from him. So just like a blue rose at first it is a sight to behold (like Kaiser's early showcase of his soccer playing) but in the end it is still a mimicry of the real flower not meant to last forever.
On the other hand Ness's hair is short and volumized (almost like an upside down rose) and his hair gradient is very similar to how dried roses look. And as we all know Ness's potential is kinda being sucked out by Kaiser's playstyle. I really liked this fan theory because it makes so much sense for their character designs and adds alot of layers.

Ooh no I hadn't come across this yet, but it's a really fun theory! I'd say the connection with Kaiser's design is pretty heavily implied since Kaiser talked about it while Ness dyed his hair, but I hadn't considered Ness yet in that light

Really looking forward to future Blue Lock Content from you, and especially maybe some further collaborations with you and other creators.

Thanks so much! More collabs are definitely on my mind as well, I'll try to make that happen in the coming year for sure

@@suzelsmangaDefinitely looking forward to those, if they don't happen that's fine as it is, your content is very different already from other Blue Lock Content creators.
I also pretty much agree with you on the entire segment answering to my question, just wanted to add that Creativity could also bypass Meta Vision.

Congrats to over 1000 subscribers, and good luck with the channel in 2024!
I think that now is not the right time for deep changes in characters like Aiku.
The rules for the matches in the NEL are too striker-centric for that, more than ever. Kaiser and Isagi have to sprint from box to box, or their team loses. An extreme example for that would be Nagi's goal.
His turn might start right before the U-20 World Cup. The choice for the captain and team council might include players like Reo, Karasu, Hayate and him.

Thanks so much! I'd love to see some more spotlight for the side characters after the NEL of course. In general I try to temper my expectations with these things so that I'm pleasantly surprised when I'm proven wrong.
I've seen people talk about Aiku as team captain for the U20 world cup elsewhere as well, and I'm not quite sure how to feel about that tbh. On the one hand, I really like Aiku, so having more shine on him would be great. But at the same time, I have to say that that would feel strange to hand the role to a defender given that Blue Lock's ethos is about scoring goals above all else - so if the role of captain has any real narrative meaning, I feel like it doesn't quite fit to have someone like Aiku in that position at this point of the story. But we'll see of course!

It was super cool seeing into your thought process in terms of literary analysis. Oddly enough it appears to be the opposite of my own. From my reverse engineering of my work I came to the understanding that I have an above average ability to find overall trends in stories and then from there details almost slot in. For example in class we were reading "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi and immediealty noticed themes of fate, and from there character actions could easily be put into that theme. While it's a style that immediately allows for me to connect details in a web of sorts it lacks nuance, so hopefully if I can pull an Isagi and integrate your style I'll get better results. Also thanks for your story, I'm currently applying to colleges so I want as many perspectives as I can get. But it's also inspired me to start posting analysis vids of my own. A true egoist would make their own rin video instead of waiting

Hey I'm glad to hear that was helpful! It's really cool that you get a good grasp of the bigger picture of a story quite easily, I noticed that doesn't come naturally to people even in grad school. Just from experience, a potential pitfalls with starting with a big theme like fate, ego etc. is that you might bite off more than you can chew and then struggle to actually get it across the finish line - there's a reason why I never did a video on what BL has to say about ego haha. Best of luck with the college applications in any case! And that is 100% the right answer regarding Rin, also do let me know if you manage to write your analysis!

First, I'm really glad I found your content. You do a fantastic job interweaving the narrative and all the characters together in a way that often gets overlooked.
2nd, I'm really glad we share the same sentiment in regards to our favorite chapters. I also viewed Blue Lock somewhat as a "secret pleasure" manga and thought it was good but not special. After Isagi made Barou bow to his own will was when I also realized this was a special story. You did a fantastic job expressing the same feelings I had about that chapter in a way I couldn't.
All in all, congrats on 1k subs and I look forward to watching more of your content!

Thanks a mill! Really cool to hear that you had the same experience as me with Barou in the second selection, I'd no idea if that was a common thing
