That was a excellent demonstration Jonny !! I know for a fact that I couldn’t have done it any better what so ever !!😂 happy Groundhog Day to you coming up !! Thanks for showing us how to navigate 🧭 take care !!👍🏼
Hey, brother! Thank you! That means a lot to me. This one really took a lot of screen time. I went through a lot of takes because of all of the noise from the traffic. I just wish it would have been a sunny day on my walk. Thanks, Quentin!
Hey, Chris! How are things? I tell you what, the concept was simple but the sun made things difficult by not wanting to play along. As always. I appreciate you, Chris!
You have a great way about teaching stuff Mr.Jonny! You make learning fun bruv! Hope you and Mrs.Rachelle are most excellent!? Thanks a bunch for sharing your knowledge with us! Being one with your shadow is absolutely gold! Great two step shuffle you shared!🤣😂Have a blessed weekend! Cheers, Kimmers and Jerbs #BEUP #DSKFS #neverquitquitting #22ADay #22ADaynomore 👍🏻🇺🇸🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Jerb's, that really means a lot to me. Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing and just hope that my videos can be helpful or at least good or a laugh. I appreciate you & Kimmer's always beings so supportive.!
Jonny! Morning, sir! You did an excellent job explaining this while pairing the video down to a good length. 15-20 degrees off isn't really too bad on first go. Even without adjusting, you'll get in the rough direction you want to go. I really liked the demo with the flashlight and showing how to use Dave Canterbury's little round. Nice dance moves too, bro.
Good morning, Dan! I can't believe I finally managed to whittle this one down last night. I had to rerecord so many scenes, it was difficult to keep track of the keepers and which ones go in the trash. It turned out to be a fun project that I want to play around some more with. Yeah, Dave's round really helps keep things simple. As always, I appreciate you brother!
I couldn't find a shadow all week long when I really wanted to record this so I've been hoping for an early Spring. Naturally, the sun came out today so I image Phil will run back into his cave later this week. Sigh!
This is something that i always find myself testing myself on whether I remember how to do it or not! Watching one too many survival programme but I guess i never soaed it in! Its fascinating to think how simple it really is once you learn how to do it!
It is interesting. We all know that the sun rises in the east & sets in the west. We even know that a shadow is on the opposite side of the light source, but for some reason it can all get confusing when putting it all together. I suspect that the problem is that we human beings tend to over label things and make the simple sound complex. I appreciate you always watching and I'm glad you liked this video. Take care, my friend!
Very good tutorial Jonny that was great! I couldn't even imagine me trying to do this video lol😅that would be a mess. you did great. 👍 I like your dance too.
Thanks, Nicole. I tell you what, this one took a LOT of screen time editing. Traffic noise really made this difficult and I had to do several takes. I really appreciate you swinging by for a visit and I'm glad you like my video. See you on the next one!
Hey, Henri. You are so right, brother. I started learning some basic survival skills when I realized that I'm one of those folks that is most likely to get lost or stuck in the woods. I appreciate you swinging by for a visit, and I'm glad that you enjoyed my video.
Hey, brother! How have you been? Life is going very well and just having a bit of fun making videos. I appreciate you always being there and always being so supportive. Thanks, Ron!
Nice tutorial brother. Direction finding isn’t always easy to teach but you did a great job. Happy Groundhog Day to you and your family. Let’s hope we don’t get stuck on the same day like the movie. 😂stay safe and warm down there. 👍👍
Don, I really appreciate that, brother! Sometimes I really question myself and just hope that I can help someone learn something new ... or at least get a good laugh. Thanks for always being there, Don!
Yes, sir! It was pretty cloudy while making this video so I was hopeful for an early spring. However, the sun is making its way out now so I'm afraid that means 6 more weeks. I appreciate you, brother!

ground hog day. if he sees his shadow, we get 6 more weeks of winter
if it cloudy, then winter will be over in about a month and a half.
Yes, sir! It was pretty cloudy while making this video so I was hopeful for an early spring. However, the sun is making its way out now so I'm afraid that means 6 more weeks. I appreciate you, brother!
Sadly most people don't know North nor South let alone left or right 🤣
Right off the bat you messed up. The sun doesn't move ,we do. Start over.
Thanks for watching. I said from our perspective. I also discussed solar declination & the earth's orbit. I nailed it.
