I am in the same situation like you I have got 49973 rank in jee mains I am starting gate prep from 1st year. I will also give leee in the second year. So, should I go through lateral entry in iiitH btech+ms(4 years) program after 2nd year(if I get it) or continue gate preparation?
IIITH(btech+ms in cse) or IITB Mtech cse(with comparatively less programming skills, etc but iit tag)?
Both will take same amount of time

​In my opinion M.tech CSE is best because once you start prepration for GATE your all technical subject will strong simultaneously and after that you'll continue work on you coding skills ​@@AjAinet

ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT give lateral entry at IIIT-H. Don't run after college tag, focus on actual engineering.
