WOW that is such a difficult song not only is it ALOT of words but it just gets higher and higher and higher. I get why they havnt played it since. I think the only way they could realistically play it is at the end of a set near the end of a tour as his voice might not hold out.

It’s a tough song to do live on so many levels. Technically & emotionally I don’t know if Joe really knew what he did here.and I’m not dissing Joe here. He knew the power of the song lyrically. Hats off to the band for having the guts to put this out there cos ffs someone had to.
Eh I dunno if he struggles or if he makes a conscious decision to not go quite as hard / high as he does in the recording (where he’s basically shouting) so to save his voice. Still sounds good imo
Maybe it's a bit of both .. This song is the hardest one to sing, but my guessing is he just really wanted to do this one .. Hopefully, at the end of the tour, he will still have a voice. Am waiting patiently (but to be honest, I'm freaking losing it watching these vids!!!!) for the gig in Amsterdam, in April 2022 ... So cool for you to have been 'part' of this performance!
I'm quite sure they won't play it again. They haven't since this one. Conor cannot go a full tour screaming this, and you can see it here. And it's totally understandable, it's a really difficult song to replicate live, and he shouldn't damage his voice
It's the Roy Khan situation - lots of classically trained vocalists will destroy their voices going hard, looking after an Ollie Sykes voice and a Connor Mason voice are very different (and Ollie still blew his voice!) and the cross over is sooo dangerous, I'm pretty sure they'll rarely if ever do Ce n'est Rien live for the same reasons
@@mothedbaby1962 agree, and I was actually questioning when Conor said he has a way of singing Individual without pain but maybe it didn't work as he thought. As long as he doesn't hurt himself!
I don't get why they don't add this to the setlist, in my opinion, this song sounds soooo much better live than unperson, theres so much more energy from them and the crowd, it sounds so much easier for him to hit the notes live (don't get me wrong, i love unperson but i don't enjoy it that much live) 😢
@@josie6030 yeah propably, but i feel like songs like phobia and unperson are even harder to sing live, i just think catbai is an amazing song and deserves to be played a few more times, this performance was beyong amazing 😔
