Even more pathetic than the booze stuff was that Flair apparently divorced his wife who nursed him through his near death experience so that he can “have fun”. That is if what Madden says is true. And sadly, I find it very easy to believe that it is. Ric Flair is the real life embodiment of the saying don’t meet your heroes.

Madden also said he basically rewrote flairs whole book for him because it was terrible and even got more information through lots of interviews. I'm a huge Ric Flair fan but let's face it his brain is pickled at this point and the one thing Ric likes to talk about is Ric if he's required to speak on anyone else except his celebrity "friends " name dropping in other words, then he has nothing to speak about. Hate to say it but if he keeps living at the bar every night we won't have Ric around many more years.

Flairs idea of friendship is the other person kissing his ass, giving him money, doing everything he wants, cleaning up and making excuses for him after he fucks up and in return he does nothing for them. Nobody ever ask him for help never mind money in fact if their a real friend in flairs head they shouldn't even ask for their money back that they lent him. Oh yeah and they have to tell him he was "the greatest wrestler ever" every 10 mins to feed his fragile ego.
