I started playing PvP one game a day for easy dailies, recently decided to work on The Ascension, now playing three games a day. I think I'm getting Stockholm Syndromed a bit where I'm starting to feel like I kind of like it. Still in Silver, though :)
@@CaffeinatedDad I played ascension for about 8 months, it has so much potential, but after complaining about being continually being placed in losing BGs (against OP teams), I think the game hacked my account, as I can't no longer go to their discord nor login to the game. I have sent them communication about this but thus far no reply. I think they have a very limited pool of people and feed new players to their established paying players, to keep them happy.
Are all the same rewards/currencies for Ascended/Legendary gear also available from doing WvW, or only from the ranked arena pvp? Different reward tracks at least.. i'm new so do not know much yet. But i assume should focus on one at a time, right? Kinda liking WvW, but do i miss part of the rewards doing that instead of ranked arena pvp? Thanks for the guides btw! Nice to have guides on pvp and gearing through it. 💜
You can do nearly the exact same through wvw however I have heard that it takes a bit longer. If you enjoy wvw you can get ascended/legendary items with ease!
@@CaffeinatedDad Thanks a lot for reply! And this is great to hear, alltho eventually i'll do both a lot most likely. Since both pvp formats seem super fun on GW2. Also actually legit 1st game where i feel i get as much (or even more) loot boxes and shiny loot all the time while doing pvp same as if would do pve. Constant dopamine hits from seeing inventory fill from loot chests. :D Other mmo's with pvp should take example tbh. Cannot press that Like button more than once, but subscribed for more Caffeinated gaming moments and guides. 💜I will need to study and learn a lot. ^^
I wonder if they will ever update the class npc dummies so people could actually see what elite specs change on classes, my hope that anet would limit pvp to core classes only will probably never happen they at least should show case a bit of what changes the with elite specs then
@yannaedc5934 the way that it works is the gear you get there (pvp equipment) is only active in PvP! But you can earn a crap load of gear and level up in pvp
I've tried guidwars 2 a few times throughout the years. The multiple "skills" found in one ability made it overwhelming to choose and I've never liked the graphics, just terrible. but I am going to give it another shot, because I love that you can jump into pvp right away without having to grind.

You can use the core! Just hop in!

Yes you do 😄 They don't normalize gear there, would make sense to wait til level 80

as soon as you join the lobby you gain access to the amulets and runes! i will make note that some special runes cost gold!

Honestly thats one of my biggest pros for the game! I want to just start smashing face right out the gate!
