    Put the clear tube at the top! Not the bottom of the vac. This way you can see what is happening.

    Just received my Clear Vac !! This works excellent ,, I recommend this if thinking about purchasing a pond vac. Don’t bother with the 1-2 hundred dollar vac’s. This dose the job with ease & was well worth the $

      Hello - It will depend on the type of feature. We recommend sending us a photo of the feature to pondhelp@thepondguy.com.

    When I use mine for maybe 1 minute, it stops sucking, the vacuum is running but no suction. The junk does go out the rear hose but there's still no suction until I turn it on for a minute.

    Hello since you are catching all debris why can’t you put the exhaust hose back into the pond

    • @thepondguy
      @thepondguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This unit is meant to remove dirty water and debris up to 3/8” in size. It is not meant to be used as a filtration system and will not remove fine particulates that are suspended in the water column.

    • @july1962
      @july1962 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thepondguy OK, but can you still exhaust the water to the pond and let the pond filter deal with the fine particulates?

    • @thepondguy
      @thepondguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@july1962 you will not want to run the discharge back into the pond because everything you removed with the vacuum, will then be put right back into the pond.

      @thepondguy can I use this for above ground pools. For example picking up algae from the bottom or leafs.

    How long was it to clean that pond in the video?

    • @thepondguy
      @thepondguy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello - A pond this size would take about 15-20 minutes to vacuum. The pond in the video has a rocky bottom, so it takes a bit longer than it would if the bottom was smooth.

  • @inactive67

    Why can you not recirculate the water back into the system, through the skimmer?

    • @thepondguy
      @thepondguy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello - A pond vacuum is designed to remove dirty water and debris from your pond. If you allow it to recirculate through your skimmer, it will not remove the dirty water and will only collect a portion of the debris.

      @@thepondguy a rather bizarre concept - why would you pump the "good" water out of your pond? Evidently this method is for people who are unable to critically think.

    • @stringztoo
      @stringztoo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gregpopp4847 you realize this doesn't make "clean water", right? The thing pulls up sludge and debris... The water is just a byproduct.

    I have a lot of fish & frogs in my pond. Will this (or any vacuum) avoid sucking them up? And if it does, will I be able to retrieve them to set them back in my pond?
